MILWAUKEE PC

Highly recommended for computer sales and service. I've had them build a PC for me (to my exact specs, and it didn't cost any more than buying a ready made computer) and had them work on computers I've bought elsewhere, and always have been happy with everything they have done.

When I dropped the computer off, the tech thought it might be a bad power supply. After the diagnosis, the problem was a bad boot up switch. The switch was fixed for only the diagnosis fee. Work was done in the time period promissed.

Please do not use this company. They lost 2 weeks of my salon's information simply because he didn't think to back up my hard drive when reinstalling my salon software. The information lost includes all appointments made during that two week period. He may be cheaper but he is costing me so much more money in the long term because of his sloppy and unprofessional work. I should have known better after he canceled or rescheduled for various reasons 6 times, but he seemed like a nice guy. Now I have angry clients and employees and I have to work through the night to try and redo some of this unrecoverable data. Untrustworthy work and I am suffering from anything he touched.

Initially, they told me that it was going to cost $40 for them to look at it. Also, they said the price would end up being $70 if they JB weld it. They told us that they would give me a call stating that if any more work was needed to be done, they would let me know before any charges. Later, he told me that it needed to be completely saudered. They needed to do this in their other office in Osh-Kosh. They told me that it would take a week to ten days to get back with me. When they called me to tell me about this, he said there was something wrong with the hard drive. They had no right to look at the hard drive. I did not want them to. Then, I came back to pick up my computer, I noticed that the battery was real low. I made sure that it was high when I turned it in, but it was very low when I got it.

Repaired correctly. The fact that they have walk-in service to drop off the product was convenient.

My desktop computer started hanging while playing windows media player. Eventually, it crashed and it would not start. I took it in Milwaukee PC in Greenfield on a Friday. They said it would be Tuesday before they would call me with an estimate. They called me on Monday and said that the video card needs to be replaced. I was more than happy to pay the $126.00 and have them fix it that on Monday. They are very honest and fair. This was second time I used their services.

Their price seems to be reasonable. Actually, the price was a little over $200, but the person who worked on the computer forgot to call and tell me about it, so there was a miscommunication and when I went in, they came to know about it, so they were really unhappy of the miscommunication because they realized that it was probably much of an inconvenience for me, so they gave me 15% off on my bill. They were willing to give me 15% off without any discussion. They even apologized because of the miscommunication. I have used them about 2 years ago as well. I consider them to be really quiet good and reliable. They are really prompt and responsive. They are very professional. Their quality of work is good. The only thing I didn't like about them is that they have only one antivirus and I don't like that antivirus, but other than that they are fine and I will go back to them again.

Doesn't do bad work, but responsiveness was very poor despite warning him a couple of times that I consider good communication to be very important. Timeliness was also only fair at best. I could accept that if he kept better communication. This is a late entry, so I'm not sure of the date that I last got service from him. I've since then been going to another computer repair company. Also, although he had given me a "complimentary" hard drive on an earlier visit, it was damaged at the connection and held in place with glue. Again, I could possibly accepted this,but not knowing it was glued in place led to problems when I disconnected the drive later and couldn't reconnect it since the glue was now compromised.

I went to Milwaukee PC because I thought they d be best suited to help me the first time, but in actuality it took three trips (to two different stores) to resolve my issue and I m not really satisfied with my purchase, but I don t feel like spending any more time on this problem or returning my purchase to get hit with a 15% restocking fee. Start to finish; I was sold a card that didn't match my original card and didn't fit my motherboard. Exchanged it for another card, but it didn't support DVI-I and MPC was out of "adaptors". Stopped at Circuit City to purchase the Adaptor, but was told none exist for my application, a new card there was only $15 more than MPC or a new cable would cost $35.

Everything went smoothly. The technician called back within hours of my initial call. He arrived at my home on time, reviewed my problems with me and the computer, then outlined my options, carefully explaining each detail. The work was completed within the promised time (just four days!) and the computer was brought back, set up and checked out. There were no difficulties. I was very pleased with the work and the way I was treated.

We are very satisfied with this provider. We pay $10/month for DSL, and the service has never been down. The times we needed help getting it going (start-up, new computer), the tech people have been helpful.

Our computer was running slowly so we took it to Milwaukee PC for the free computer checkup. We got a call back 3 days later that the computer was ready for pickup. They had not found any viruses but gave us suggestions for virus protection software and had made some changes to the startup menu and cleaned up the system. Our computer runs much more efficiently now.

THE MAIN REASON WE LIKE MPC FOR DIAL UP IS THAT THE ACCOUNT CAN BE TURNED ON AND OFF WHEN WE TRAVEL SO WE DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR UNUSED TIME. CONS: NO LONG DISTANCE ACCESS NUMBERS. THEY CHARGE FOR TELEPHONE TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICE ON BASIC ACCOUNT. NO SUPPORT AFTER BUSINESS HOURS VIA TELEPHONE. PROS: IF YOU GET A "PREMIUM ACCOUNT" THE COST IS ONLY $10.99 A MONTH AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT IS INCLUDED AS ARE 5 EMAIL ACCOUNTS.

MILWAUKEE PC WILL HELP YOU CUSTOMIZE A SYSTEM FOR YOUR NEEDS IF YOU ARE ABLE TO TELL THEM YOUR REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS. HOWEVER, THIS MEANS IT TAKES A FEW DAYS TO GET A SYSTEM ASSEMBLED. THE SALES STAFF IS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE, FRIENDLY, AND PROFESSIONAL, AND IS ABLE TO COMMUNICATE IN ORDINARY NON-PC ENGLISH. I HAVE TAKEN A PC HOME TO FIND A PART WAS NOT WORKING, BUT THE STAFF IMMEDIATELY REPLACED IT ON THE SPOT THE SAME DAY WHEN I BROUGHT THE PC BACK. I'VE ALSO HAD A FAN GO AFTER A YEAR BUT STILL IN THE WARRANTY PERIOD. THEY ARE VERY GOOD AT STANDING BEHIND PARTS FOR RECALL AND REPAIRS IN A PROMPT FASHION.

ALTHOUGH MILWAUKEE PC HAS SEVERAL LOCATIONS, WE'VE HAD OUR BEST EXPERIENCES WITH THE GREENFIELD STORE. HOWEVER, IF YOU NEED A PC REPAIRED, CHECK MILWAUKEE PC'S WEBSITE. EACH LOCATION HAS WAIT TIMES FOR REPAIRS LISTED ON THEIR WEB PAGE, AND YOU CAN TAKE THE PC TO A STORE WITH THE LEAST WAIT IF TIME IS IMPORTANT. THEY ALSO OFFER RUSH SERVICE. MILWAUKEE PC HAS ALWAYS BEEN VERY HONEST WITH ME ABOUT REPAIRS AND GOT THEM DONE VERY QUICKLY IN SOME CASES ON THE SPOT. I HAVE HAD TO WAIT UP TO 15 MINUTES TO SEE A TECHNICIAN BECAUSE OTHERS WERE AHEAD OF ME.
