Hello I’m Jim. I own and operate Milwaukee Dumpster Rental. I am a small business owner dedicated to price and service. I have been in the garbage removal waste management business for over 16 years and I have maintained many great business relationships. On Monday September 14th 2015 I booked a dumpster with Milwaukee Dumpster Rental for Friday September 18th for my mother Marlene Holtz and paid online $410. I was told by Jim that 24 hour notice was needed. The main thing I was looking for was for the dumpster to be delivered that Friday, the price, and the length of time to have the dumpster. I did book several days ahead just to be safe. I had a crew of helpers coming to help me on Saturday Sept 19th. My crew gave up their Saturday to help and for many it was the only day they could help me. I called on Wednesday to confirm the date. I also called on Friday morning to confirm and ask for the boards I placed to be moved back a couple of feet from the garage. The girl answering the phone said everything was on schedule.
On Saturday morning September 19th I went to my mom's house and there was no dumpster there. The company is closed on Saturday. I tried calling a few times and then left an email. I continued to call and someone answered. The receptionist said she would try to call the driver to see what happened. She called back to say that they ran out of time on Friday and it will be delivered on Monday. When I asked how that could happen she said that there is only so many hours in a day and they can only work so many hours. She also said that this is there busy time of year. She said she called 3 other companies to try to outsource but no dumpsters were available. Why did no one bother to call me to tell me the situation? Also wondering if truly they ran out of time on Friday then dumpster would be there on Saturday but now they are out of dumpsters I told receptionist that we wanted a discount.
On Monday September 21st, Jim called he told me that the dumpster was marked as having been delivered by the supervisor. He asked if I could have the address wrong. No the address was correct. He said he will check what happened. He called back to say the supervisor screwed up and never marked it as undeliverable. He said the truck broke down. How many different stories. If the truck broke down then there still should have been a dumpster available on Saturday. We think our dumpster was given to someone else maybe a frequent customer/contractor who needed one right away. Why no phone call to me to explain the situation. There is no excuse for no phone call. I could have had time to contact a different company. If the company couldn't deliver on that date then they should have said so up front. I called several days ahead of time.
Jim left me a message, "the best I can do is give $25 discount, sorry that's the best I can do, I'm already at a cut rate from the online special...thanks for your patience". So the best I can do for future or prospective customers is to write an honest review.
