Do not contract with this company! Their entire monitoring service is simply a way to find ways to bill you for more services. The will have dispatchers call you every hour all weekend to claim there is a trouble signal in your system. If you ask what this means they will say they don't know! If you ask what should I do they don't know. Is the building on fire? they don't know. What should I do? Call the service department. ok, please stop calling me every hour 24 hours a day in the meantime? NO we will keep calling!!! Why are you calling at all? If there is a trouble signal why is the service department not calling to schedule a repair visit? They don't know!!! After a few weeks of this nonsense eventually a service guy will come but he wont be able check anything out because he has no ladder! So another few weeks later a different guy will come but he cant figure out what is wrong. A few weeks after that a third guy will come, he has all the answers and will get parts ordered. A few weeks after that the will come to do the repair but the parts are wrong so they want to order new ones but expect you to pay for the second parts order as well! on and on and on and on........ Most recently their sales department calls and tells you that in order to provide their monitoring services they need to upgrade their equipment, you need a new wireless transmitter (the current transmitter was installed just a few months ago), but no worries, there is no cost to you. We will be out next week to replace it, just sign the work order we send over. Do you read small print? You better! They don't tell you but if you sign the work order it adds 5 years to your service contract!!!!!! I told them I was not interested in adding 5 years to my contract and there response was that then you need to pay $300 for the new transmitter. I don't want to pay $300 for a new transmitter. If you need a new transmitter to provide the monitoring service you owe me come and put it in. Guess what! They don't need a new transmitter now!!!!!! Run from this company as fast as you possibly can!!!!!!

I had been with MAC for 7 years. I recently deleted landline service and needed to communicate with them by internet only. When I contacted them they said they first needed to find out what equipment I had. After 3 weeks with no monitoring service or response from them, they mailed me an estimate to replace my equipment with the EXACT SAME equipment I currently had for $424. When I questioned them why did they do this they had no answer. They knew exactly what equipment I had thinking I wouldn't check it out. At that point I wanted nothing to do with them so I cancelled service and went with GEO Arm using the same equipment for $8 per month. They refused to refund me the 11 months of unused service. After being treated so poorly and being a good customer for this long I would NOT recommend them at all. They are deceptive and take advantage of their existing customers.

My business has been without a functioning alarm system for two weeks.  Service failed to show up for a scheduled appointment.  Repeated calls have not been returned.  Clearly the monitoring staff should recognize that the system is not operational, yet they do not seem to be concerned.  The fire inspector now requires on site fire monitoring personnel until the system is fixed.  Called again today and was told I could not speak with a manager and to stop calling. They hung up on me.
