We removed a square of our vinyl floor (2 layers) and brought it to microanalytical for analysis. They charged $20 per layer (they counted the glue as a layer so it was 4 layers total that they tested). Thankfully it all tested negative,

THEY WERE GREAT ABOUT SELECTING THE 4 BEST SAMPLES OF THE 7 I BROUGHT IN. I CALLED THEM IN ADVANCE TO ASK HOW TO GET THE BEST SAMPLES OF POSSIBLE ASBESTOS TILES & ADHESIVE. THEY DID A RUSH JOB FOR ME ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON SO THAT I COULD REMOVE THE TILES OVER THE WEEKEND FROM A 1950 HOUSE.
