Terrible customer service. Did not finish job. Was very unprofessional. When I said he did not trim the tree to original specifications, he told me to talk to his wife (? Why would I talk to his wife?) He ended up not responding or coming back to finish the job as promised. Not an honest person. Do not recommend.

Fantastic job from beginning to end. Larry is a great guy, and someone you trust to do business with. His team was great, moving quickly to trim two large trees. Larry explained everything, gave us some tips for other trees, and always had a sense of humor. Also, his quote was very competitive. Highly recommended!

Both trees look great. The large tree in the back got a nice and quot;haircutand quot; that should last for a good long time. The Crab Apple got a nice shaping. He and his crew cleaned up after wards. I would use them again.

Provider and crew came on the scheduled date. They did what I wanted and left me with some logs cut for fireplace use.

He was very funny. Had my husband help so More services could be done without increasing the price. He was patient when I told him I wanted to wait to discuss with my husband. He talked about his family and was extremely personable. He was informed about the trees and even advised us to take less services and save one of the trees we were going to take down which we are happy about now. We talked about other plans for the yard and he offered mmore suggestions to my husband. When we are ready for the front yard we will be calling him again!

Quotes Provided by Larry were much cheaper than others. After performing above tasks he also offered additional services free of charges. He Removed two small tree for free of charges. He also said that he will take the branches from the additional trees. His Crew and Larry himself are very friendly and professional. I would totally recommend and quot;Larry's Tree Servicesand quot; to anybody who needs to take care of trees for very affordable price.

After leaving 4 messages in as many weeks, I finally gave up and hired someone else. Very unprofessional.

I have used Larry several times over the past few years, nursing along an old tree that I love and pruning and removing other trees and bushes. He always does a good job, explains what and why he recommends, lets me watch and OK what he's doing as the job goes along, humors me when I don't entirely accept his advice, and always cleans up afterward. He's a nice man.

Less than a week after my original estimate, Larry and his partner were there to take down a crab apple tree. They arrived a few minutes ahead of the scheduled time and went right to work. Worked straight through until the tree was down and the good wood was cut to fireplace size. They hauled away all the brush (put it on a trailer) and rolled the larger stumps down to the curb for me. They also took a couple of branches off another tree we wanted trimmed. They did a terrific job at a fair price and I was very happy with their services, An excellent compnay! I highly recommend them. I will definitely use them again.

Perfect. Everything I wanted done was completed in a very quick and efficient manner. 100% business-like and professional. Larry and crew came exactly when they said they would, got to work right away and were completely done before it got dark. I had my doubts he could finish before nightfall, but Larry worked quickly and knew exactly what to do. His crew cleaned up everything they said they would and left my yard perfect and the tree looking much better. Larry did everything he said he would and more. Worth every cent!!

Larry Shikes, owner of Larry's Tree Service, was very responsive from my first email and phone call. He came to my house on a Sunday afternoon to provide me an estimate. The work was performed 2 weeks after this estimate. His crew arrived on time and performed the services that I contracted them to do. Larry also provided me with the name of a stump grinder whom I contacted after the trees were removed. The wood was taken by neighbors and persons that Larry had contacted in advance. When 3 LARGE logs were still remaining after a few days, Larry came back out and picked them up without charging me.

Great. Larry gave a frank and honest assesment of what he felt needed to be done, and followed through to the letter. He walked me through the yard upon completion to show me what needed to be done. The yard was completely cleaned up. I trusted Larry's advice and appreciated his expertise.

Larry is very responsive. He returned our call within 24 hours, met with us the following day, scheduled the work a few days later, showed up on time, did a great job cutting down the trees and cleaning up afterwards. Plus, he is a knowledgeable arborist. I would definitely have him do work for us again.

Larry responded to an email inquiry the same day. He came to our house the next day to give us a quote on pruning the tree or entirely removing the tree. We chose to have the tree pruned, and he came the next week. He cleaned up everything, and the result was a beautiful tree.

Larry and Scotty arrived on time and did an excellent job trimming and cleaning the canopy of a large ash tree. They were very professional and knew exactly what they were doing and also explained why they were doing it. I had received other quotes that were either more expensive or quotes where the company would only raise up the canopy - a quick, unsightly trim job. I had a company do that before and it took years for the tree to recover. The ash tree looks great and so do the other trees they trimmed. They also cleaned up completely before leaving. I would highly recommend Larry and will be sure to use him again.

I contacted this company for a "second opinion" on some work on some shrubs surrounding my patio. Other companies were more than willing to do the work for a large sum, but Larry provided a recommendation that I wait until fall since the work would leave the shrubs unsightly for a while. He offered other thoughts on options and didn't push. I was so pleased with his recommendations. I had already scheduled with the other company so I cancelled and will re-eval in fall. When we do it we are going with Larry's Tree Service. On top of that--his quote was less than the prior company.

Larry responded the same day I called and came a couple of days later to give an estimate. Two trees had been topped by the electric company in January but only cleared the topmost wires. The "volunteer" trees between our garage and the neighbors were damaging the roofs and had overgrown the small space. The house wires leading to both properties crossed underneath the trees and there was very little space to take down the trees between the two garages...plus one of the trees was growing through a chainlink fence! Scotty came out to do the work and managed to do it in less than 2 hours. He couldn't cut the trees to the ground because of the fence but he gave some advice on how to make sure they don't grow back. He loaded the brush in the truck and the logs were taken away from the curb before he left the job site. He did a great job and Larry made an effort to get the job scheduled on short notice.

Larry's crew climbed the tree and removed them without incident. Cut all the tres up in small sizes for firewood.

great. no problems, very professional. Got the job done, talked everything over beforehand and did what he said he would do.

Called Larry and described the rough size of the bush. Very friendly and professional on the phone and on the job. He came on time. Took a look at the other trees on the lot. Gave me a flyer about the emerald ash bore since I have 2 ash on my lot. He worked quickly and cleaned up all the branches and raked the area. Was very happy with everything.

He charged 60 dollars for the work wherein another guy wanted 200 dollars for it. I would probably use them again in future.
