I've been using Knepper Bros. for several years and have never been disappointed. Can't beat a good, honest repair shop. Best place for service in the Bay View area.

Andy is a good, honest mechanic. He will take the time to look at your car and test drive it. Won't put in unnecessary parts, labor. Keeps beaters moving, doesn't charge for quick diagnostics. He's a small shop, so you'll need to leave your car there for a day or two. It's his only flaw.

It was a positive experience. They were very prompt in the work. They were also informative and kept me in the loop.

The price was fine but the repair was not done correctly. They machined the rotors replaced pads and calipers but after the repair I had horrible squeeling of brakes when driving. Took it back but they had no time to fix it. Made appt again took it back, they had the car the entire day, when I got it back it was still squeeling. Took it back a third time. Supposedly they redid the job, but brakes stil squeel. You would think that at the very least they would do a test drive to make sure the problem is fixed before returning the car to you. They are not open weekends or evenings so I had to make arrangements that affected my work schedule, not once but three times and the problem is still there. Since I no longer trust Kneppers I will now need to take my car elsewhere to fix the problems that they should really fix, assuming they took any pride in there work.

Over the years he has also done suspension work on my Saab and smaller stuff like fixing a broken door handle and replacing the battery. I recommend Andy Knepper to anyone looking for an indy shop they can trust. Knepper has always done fine work and has not overcharged me.

Andy has serviced both of my most recent cars. He is always available at the shop, remembers my name and gives pleasant greetings. He's willing to give advice and make suggestions without a doom-and-gloom sales pitch. I don't ever worry that I'm being overcharged, and have never had to bring the cars back to have insufficient work redone.

I noticed on Thursday that my tire was going flat, I parked my vehicle in their parking lot and talked with them in the morning explaining my situation. They had my tire fixed in a few hours. I would definately recommend them to anyone.

Very good. Like most others have said here, I've used Andy/Knepper's for almost all my maintenance on my Mazda, and I remain happy. I trust them to give honest advice about what I really need done, versus "upselling" unnecessary repairs. Sometimes they're too busy, but they're good about not scheduling me when they're too busy. Scheduling has been less of an issue in the last year, however. All work in the last 4 years has been on time as promised, however when I had my timing belt replaced 5 years ago it took a few days longer than expected. They were very apologetic, and have been great since!

As noted, he is VERY conscientious in all aspects. We've been taking our vehicles to Andy for two years, for everything they need to have done, so to come up with specific work and charges at this point would be difficult. It always goes well: we feel well-informed, fairly charged, and the work is excellent. He goes above and beyond the call of duty. Having moved here from a small town in the Midwest, we were very apprehensive about finding a good, honest mechanic in the city. But Andy is right down the street, and he's exactly like the good, honest, small-town mechanic we left in Nebraska. We HIGHLY recommend Kneppers. A good mechanic that takes good care of your vehicles, in turn takes good care of you, and almost becomes a trusted member of the family.

Andy (the owner) called me later and said no tune-up was needed; so I just paid for the oil change.

They are very professional and they usually complete the work when they say it will be done. I really like the location as well. The owner is a very good businessman. He is good at accommodating to my needs. He gets the car to me quickly because it is my work vehicle.

They repaired a tired that had a nail stuck in it. They got me in right away and the repair took a matter of minutes. They were pleasant and inexpensive.

Knepper has always been professional, friendly and trustworthy. We feel that their pricing and recommendations have always been fair.

They are very trustworthy. They are customer oriented. They always have my car done when they say they will. They never push me to fix or buy anything else on my car.
