During the reroofing, the uncompleted roof was tarped overnight and it rained that night. The tarped roof leaked and the upstairs apt ceiling leaked badly into the apt causing the plaster ceiling to crack all over in two rooms waking the tenant's at 2am who of course called me. It also shorted out the wiring in the ceiling light. I feel like the roof wasn't tarped properly. but accidents can happen even in the best of circumstances. To his credit, Willie came over at 2 am with a crew to retarp the roof and lay tarp in the attic. Unfortunately it leaked again the next night, waking the tenants again. Willie assured me he would fix the ceilings in the apt after the roof was completed. I had to give the tenants a 30 da notice to move for fear of plaster falling on them and also to be able to fix the issues ,thereby causing me to lose rental income. Once the roof and gutters were completed, I gave Willie a key to the vacant apt so he could come in anytime. After 4 weeks of  patiently waiting for him to fix the issues so I could  rent again, and repeated promises that he  would show up on a certain day to do this, which he has not,  he has now stopped communicating with me altogether,. and will not return my phone calls, texts or emails.  Worried about the integrity of the roof, I had an inspector come out. He said the roof was put on in a relatively good fashion but that some of the work was very unprofessional. ( shingles left hanging over the edge at the back of the garage and the garage hip shingles are a different color. All cosmetic but speaks to his work. I was also told I needed a permit which Willie never mentioned at all and I assumed he had gotten. I was out of state when I hired him. The inspector said the newly installed gutters are hanging off and leaking and were not installed properly and the roof vents weren't installed properly.. Also a piece of facia was knocked off and it has not been replaced. He did not entirely clean up  after the job either. Unfortunately when the roof and gutters were completed I paid him because I did not know about the other issues until the inspector came, and I trusted that he would fix the ceilings as he said he would. His business card says "A business founded on prayer, that stands on integrity".  Really?
