Well this is when I really became fed up with Ding-A-Ling. I explained the problem and that I would like store credit, not a refund. A very angry little man refused to give me store credit despite the fact that I had all the warranty papers, the original receipt and one original box for the two phones. So not only was I sold a phone system that Ding-A-Ling should have never sold me just so they could squeeze an extra buck out of me, but they refused to give me store credit--a fair compromise for selling me the wrong phones that DO NOT WORK. I calmly tried to explain our plight but this angry man was having none of it---some customer service!
So beware customers, the ding-a-lings over at Ding-A-Ling will try and sell you something you do not need and will not honor a store credit once you discover how they pulled the wool over your eyes. I will not be going back and neither should you.
"Today is the first time that I saw this complaint so I am sorry for the delay in responding. The customer did not purchase a phone system from my company. She purchased two proprietary cordless telephone sets that would work on the phone system that was existing in her residence. The two cordless telephones were special ordered for her and were the only models that would be compatible to her existing phone system. Because of the time period that had passed I had no recourse with my supplier to return the specially ordered cordless phones. I did offer the customer an in-store credit that she agreed with until I further explained that in order for her to utilize other cordless phones she would need a service call. Other cordless telephones would not be compatible to the existing phone system in the customer’s residence. The customer became angry and stormed out of my business stating that she would get a credit from one of my competitors. The customer stated in her complaint that the phones I sold her did not work. This is not true, the phones worked 100% as witnessed by one of our technicians on-site at her residence. I value all of my customers and will always do whatever I can reasonably do to keep them satisfied. My 31 years in business and stellar reputation will attest to this."
