Description of Work: Replaced dead power supply board in my large Samsung plasma TV. He attempted to repair the board on-site, but ended up needing to order a new board. Returned a couple days later, and had it working like new in 15 minutes. Very professional and experienced. Actually called ahead and arrived right when we said he would.

Description of Work: My 40 Inch Samsung TV wouldnt turn on. I checked the Samsung site and Robert Higgins TV Repair was recommended. I contacted them and they were out the following day. I was not sure that I would want the TV repaired as the prices for a new TV are pretty low these days, and was willing to pay the trip charge to have it looked at. After analyzing the problem their recommendation was to do the repair. They said I had a good quality TV and this was really the only problem that was common with my model. By repairing (which was less than a new TV, they didnt think I would experience any future problems. While at my home they received a phone call from another potential customer. After that customer explained his/her problem the repair person was able to assess their problem over the phone and recommended to that person not to do a repair - the cost would far exceed a new TV. They were very thorough - had no problem with me watching every step they took, and took the time to show me the problem and walk me through their steps to solution. Their timeliness and professionalism is why I am adding them to Angies List. (p.s. they also provide a 1 year warranty on parts and labor for their service)
