We wanted central air installed in our house built in 1900. We decided it would also be a good time to replace the 30 + year old furnace as well. We had a few quotes done and after the usual trepidation about picking the correct contractor we decided to go with Fire and Ice. Dan was punctual, efficient and extremely knowledgeable. We also had some older, questionable duct work when we bought the house and we asked Dan if he could do something to correct it. Dan went above and beyond to correct duct work within the same quoted price. The project took about a day and a half from start to finish. All work performed by Dan passed city code inspection with flying colors. Dan and Tammy were very responsive to any questions and were a absolute pleasure to work with. This was one of the best experiences, start to finish, we have had with a contractor. While price is always a factor, it is usually a gut feeling that prevails in the decision to choose a contractor and it served us extremely well in this case. We have recommended "Fire and Ice" to family and friends and will continue to do so.

Everything went very well. I gave Dan a call and he gave me a time and date that he could be here to inspect what the problem was with my existing furnace and air conditioning. He showed up on time and performed a diagnostic on my furnace to analyze what the problem was. He showed me what the problem was and gave me multiple options to fix it. A few days later he told me he would be over and installed a new furnace and AC sized for my house.I would use Fire and Ice for all my heating and cooling needs. I have told friends about their services so they can use him in the future.

The service provided was great. Tammy and Dan were super informative and responsive through the quote process. We always felt very, very informed. We originally just wanted air conditioning but ended up having our close to 30 year old furnace replaced, too. We got other quotes from top companies on Angie's List but felt most comfortable and trusted Fire & Ice the most. They arrived early for installation and left everything very clean. I would surely use them again in the future and recommend them to family and friends.

They were always on time and their communication throughout the project was excellent and much appreciate since I live off-site. Their explanation of the work needed and their estimate were detailed and I thought that they were extremely thorough.

Fire and Ice Contracting did a great job. They were very easy to work with, did exactly what they said they would, showed up when they said they would for both the quote appointment and the install, very punctual. When I left a message my call was returned promptly. They came to the job prepared. They were clean, placed drop clothes as needed, and left the utility room area straighten away. I appreciate that Dan's years of experience have given him valuable insight into what works well and what doesn't. He provided sage advice for what did and didn't need to be done. When you have your furnace replaced on the 5th of December on the day after the first snow of the winter, you want an HVAC contractor who know's what they are doing, is on time, comes prepared without having to run back to the shop for something they did not anticipate, and completes the job in a timely manor. They respected our home as they did their work, cleaned up after themselves and removed the old furnace. I will definitely be using them again when the air conditioning unit needs replaced.

Arrived early Installation took less time than initially quoted. No problem incurred during installation. Installation costs were very reasonable. A vent problem from the old furnace installation was corrected. An A/C setting was also corrected. Overall friendly and professional.

I knew after initially meeting with Dan and Tammy that this was what I was looking for- no nonsense, fairly priced, incredibly honest, and obviously competent. Their quote was well outlined, and they clearly described what they would do, and then guess what? They did it- exactly as they said they would. They even worked with me on a few of the tweaks and adjustments that needed to be made and were more than accommodating in remedying these issues. These are good people, and I can tell they are not a "lose your number contractor"- I wouldn't hesitate to call them if I needed help or a repair, and know that they would certainly assist. I would definitely recommend Fire and Ice for HVAC repairs and installation.

They were very prompt for the estimate and on the day of installation. They were very professional in the installation, careful in bringing equipment and tools in and out, and cleaning up. Very courteous and knowledgeable about the product and answering questions.

Tammy & Dan arrived on time. Installed in a reasonable amount of time. Cleaned everything up when the job was done. Did a good job of explaining the product when done. (care & use of).

The provider suggested a recommendation which turned out to be an appropriate fit for both price and application. Arrived on the date and time as promised, finished ahead of schedule, and was thoughtful enough to call after installation to see if the furnaces were functioning properly. I found them very competent, punctual, mindful of value and thorough.

Absolutely perfect. We had to have a part repaired and they did it in less than 24 hours. After the original installation we had our tested and it was determined the house was too tight. They came out and did our duct work for free. 

They were fantastic to deal with. They started on the agreed upon date and time. They were never late and were very prompt. This is an 8 family apartment building and they treated the tenants with respect and  professionalism. Cleaned up after themselves never left a mess. They went above and beyond. If we had a question they answered their phone. Was such a positive experience.
