They do a good job. Their price is reasonable. However, the paint they used was not labeled the same type of paint we were using. It may have been the same paint, but was not labeled the same color. They used it for the upper part of the property. When I came upstairs to check the rooms, it smelled like ammonia. They did not tell me prior that there was something wrong with the paint. They left the paint and did not contact the place they got the paint from. This left a concern with me using them for my home.

I called Kathy to make an appointment for a estimate to paint a kitchen. She replied promptly to my phone call and we set a date for her to come to give an estimate. We agreed to the time and price of the job.
Kathy showed up to do her job at the time we agreed on. She does an excellent job. Very neat. She also makes sure I am totally satisfied with her work and tells me to call her if I notice anything that might need a touch up or if I notice a problem.
Kathy is an extremely personable lady and takes care to make sure all appliances and table, chairs, etc. are covered before she paints and leaves making sure everything is okay.
I have had Kathy for a previous paint job, and I would not hesitate to hire her again.

Kathy was great - she and her assistant were very easy to work with. They worked fast and did an excellent job, they were also very neat. Since I have 3 little ones at home they were concerned about paint chips and were very cautious about sweeping up and not leaving stuff within reach. After they were done, I unknowingly overpaid by $40; Kathy called me right away about it and I got a refund check in the mail 2 days later! The areas they painted look wonderful - we are very pleased to have found a painter we know does quality work for a reasonable price. I have recommended her to several friends and family and am getting ready to use her for a second job.

Everything with Kathy was absolutely perfect! She was prompt, well mannered, and hard working. A pleasure to have in my home, as her performance was surprisingly quick and remarkably precise. Not to mention the fact that she was neat as a pin! Couldn't have asked for a more skilled hand and artistic eye.

She shows up at 930 on the second day of a large job scheduled to go a week. She doesn't tape anything such as crown molding or chair rail. She tried to paint a dining room and rolled the walls before she cut the edges. Consequently you could see her brush strokes along every edge and corner after it dried. She applies a second coat before the first is dry and starts to get huge drip marks down the wall. When I politely asked her about that she became defensive and said that it was humid and the paint wasn't drying well. She said "I don't get drips". I'm thinking you didn't wait long enough between coats and I'm not hallucinating. Her attitude became harsh and I began to avoid her and talk to her sub who was diplomatic. He supported her and mediated between us and talked me out of firing her on the spot. I really did not want any more painting done by her. The next day she doesn't show up or call. Her sub informs me she hurt her knee and won't be back. Whew, thank god. If your counting on her that could be a problem, quitting in the middle of a job. In the final analysis she is one woman and the job was too big for her. If you have a room or two she may be ok. I think even on her best day I wouldn't have been happy with the quality.

Kathy was able to provide an estimate quickly and start soon after.We indicated we wanted to complete the job soon to avoid moving in inclement weather.She enlisted her daughter to help and they completed the job in less than a week and still did first class work.Kathy was originally supposed to paint the bathroom , but when the wallpaper was stripped the walls were in no condition to paint.She provided another contractors name who came to the rescue and was able to finish the job.

Kathy gave us a quote and some very helpful color combination selections on Saturday; I purchased all of the paint myself and Kathy promptly arrived on Monday to start. She did exactly what she promised she would do at the price she quoted us, even though she had to miss a day due to illness. Her work was very thorough and she did it with a professional, friendly manner. The colors look great together and we are very pleased with the results.

The painting looks great! Fabulous! Kathy was very responsive in calling us back after the quote. She was on time and very quick. The paint job looked wonderful and she was very tidy in cleaning up. She also gave great tips on painting etc. Very friendly lady, and honest. Will hire her again. I highly recommend her.

Left msg on Kathy's voice mail and she returned my call right away. She came to our house as scheduled and provided an estimate, which was very reasonable. She was very pleasant to deal with. She stated the painting project would take 3 days,but she finished in 2. I thought we had previously agreed that she would be paid after I was able to see the finished product. Instead, I received a call while I was at work--my college aged dtr was at home. She stated she was finished and insisted that she be paid, so my dtr had to write her check on the spot. When I arrived home, I was slightly disappointed with the painting. In both bedrooms there was a banner of mismathed paint, kind of a spoltchy banner at the top. She also hadn't painted the ceiling, however I think we had a misunderstanding about this. When I called her about it, she listened but wasn't able to return to correct it for over a week, as she was on another project. She did return and corrected the problem, including painting bedroom ceiling. The finished product was much improved.

"In response to this report,I feel it's unfair and untrue. First of all I painted in very bad humidity,not ideal painting conditions. I told the customer drying time would be an issue,if at anytime she saw something wrong I would take care of it. She was correct there were problems with lite spots, I did return to take care of this matter, At the same time I painted the second ceiling,This would be the ceiling I wasn't to paint when I came for the estimate. At that time when she said no to painting the ceiling I said are you sure,I felt it needed to be painted she did not. Now about this payment, at no time ever did I demand payment,in fact the customer offered me money before I started the job,I told her she didn't have to pay me anything till the job was done. I have never demanded money from a customer this is not how I run my business,they pay me at the end,they send it to my home whatever works for them.But I DO NOT DEMAND PAYMENT..."

Everything went just wonderfully from beginning to end. Kathy kept all scheduled painting days. She was always right on time. She is an extremely gifted painter; swift working and steady handed. My family and I are just elated with the finished job. It is absolutely beautiful! I will definitely be having Kathy do more painting jobs for me in the near future.

I called Kathy based on all the excellent reviews and she responded immediately. She was just having surgery on her hand but still came to give me an estimate. We agreed on a time to start and she always called before she arrived in the morning and was always on time. She was very neat and tidy. I always did my own painting but I thought this condo would be too hard for me and I'm pretty picky but Kathy did a much better job than I could have hoped to do and I'm never painting again. I would hire Kathy again in a minute. She is also a very nice and personable lady.

Kathy did an excellant job. She responded to my inquiry right away and promptly came out to give me an estimate. She offered some great suggestions for some problem areas that turned out to look fantastic when she was finished with them. She was very accomodating, arranging her schedule around other projects that were being done in the house at the same time. The entire downstairs, hallways and basement look excellant. I can't say enough about the great job she did.

Great!!! Kathy came over to give me the estimate 1 day after I phoned. I called her Wednesday, March 31, 2009. She returned my call the same day. She arrived, at the time we agreed on, Thursday, April l1, 2009. She gave me her estimate which was more than fair. I mentioned to her that I was getting new drapes installed on Saturday, April 4, 2009, and she said she would come on Friday the day prior so she could finish the living room before the drapes were installed. I was extremely happy because then I wouldn't have to go through the bother of removing the drapes at a later date. She completed the living room and began the work on my hallway also but I didn't have enough paint. (I purchased my own) She said she would return on Monday the 6th to give me time to get new paint and have time to prepare my kitchen for her to come and complete the job. After looking at the rest of the work, she offered to return on Sunday the 5 th if it would be alright and we would have enough time to prepare the kitchen. That was excellent. Seeing how I had Saturday to prep my kitchen and get extra paint, the timing was terrific because then the job would be done sooner than expected. Again, when Kathy gave a time to return, she was on time. She did a beautiful job and told me to double check her work while she was still there and before she left, she told me to call if there were any problems. She asked if she would be able to leave a couple of items at my home since she would be returning in a couple of days. I had no problem with that.

What a flawless, painless, professional experiences. We had our kitchen and living room painted that have very high ceilings. Also two stair wells in our tri-level home. The job was completed an entire day in earlier than originally stated. The painting job was very neat and no paint found on any wood surfaces. We will recommend Kathy whenever we can. Our cost did not include the cost of paint.

"IN REGARDS TO LEAVING MY PAINT OUT, THIS JOB TOOK TWO DAYS. AT THE END OF THE FIRST DAY I ASKED THE CUSTOMER WHERE I COULD LEAVE MY PAINT TRAYS. THESE TRAYS WERE SEALED UP IN PLASTIC BAGS. AT THAT TIME HE TOLD ME TO LEAVE THEM IN THE ROOM IN WHICH I WAS WORKING, THAT HE PLANNED ON KEEPING THE DOOR CLOSED, SO HIS DOG COULDN'T GET IN. THIS WORKED FINE AND NOTHING MORE WAS SAID TO ME ON THIS MATTER. I FIND THIS COMPLAINT UNWARRANTED."

Kathy was great! We were trying to get in a painter during the summer, high season. We needed someone quickly so that we could get our house on the market. I called just about everyone on Angie's List, and many didn't even respond. Those that did were booking 3-8 weeks out! After I explained our situation to Kathy, she was able to juggle around her schedule, and got into our home within just a few days. She painted multiple surfaces (popcorn, etc.) impeccably, including our cathedral ceilings. Kathy also worked quickly, getting it all done in 3 days. On top of being a very professional painter, she's also a great person. My partner was ill during the job, and Kathy helped to move items around in our home to stay on schedule. Last but certainly not least, she did all of this for a VERY affordable price. The few other painters who did return our calls and came to our home quoted higher than Kathy. When she left, she told us to call if we needed any touch-ups. We felt VERY lucky to have found Kathy, she REALLY saved the day for us.

Kathy was very professional and gave us a quote that she charged us on the low end of. She arrived exactly when promised and had the job done exactly when promised as well. Kathy arrived on time and was immediately likeable. I toyed with doing a faux finish, but was uncertain so she suggested I choose base colors I liked and if I still wanted faux, she would experiment on small spaces before doing the whole job. Her reasons for suggesting this were sound and included a few tips I had never thought of. She avoided getting any paint on ceilings and managed to make lines look straight where walls were a bit "off". It was also necessary to paint contrasting colors in some areas and she did so with precision. She was extremely neat and clean and finished in less than two days. Several days later she called to see if I was happy with the work and to ask if I still wanted to do the faux. It looked so great I decided to leave it as is. She was great!

Kathy showed up right on time and did exactly the work we contracted for in a quick, efficient, yet careful manner. She went above and beyond, as well, by advising me on paint colors. At one point, she realized the dining room paint I'd bought didn't match what we'd discussed as my color palette -- she called me into the room so I could double-check the color before she got too far. She was right -- I'd gotten the wrong paint. With her input, I quickly bought a different green, and she went with that. If she hadn't listened so carefully to my expectations, she would've just painted the whole room in a color that was a mistake. I also sought -- and took -- her advice on what color to use for the sunroom. Guests have raved about the colors and quality of work.
