"Dear (removed member name), Thanks for being a very valued customer at ETE. In your review you stated that everthing was "extra" please check your invoice. Fluids were included with the transmission replacement. During the process of replacing your transmission our technician noticed that you had a torn motor mount. We asked if you wanted it replaced and you said ok. We did not charge any additional labor. At ETE we offer the longest warranty for this factory remanufactured transmission and save customers $1000's over dealer prices. Please feel free to call anytime. I went to engine and transmission inc. and asked for an oil change, tire rotation, check the brakes. They came back and said I really needed them but not to worry cause Subaru had inexpensive parts. Price- half what the dealer wanted to charge me. I said do it.
The whole visit from start to finish was only a few hours. They took my car in right away when I arrived and were quick and professional. When they said they could do the brakes right away they meant it. I was out before I knew it and my brakes are working perfect.

We have found that inorder to give you the best possible transmission we purchase many of our parts from the original manufacturer (Ford) for this transmission. Minor issues: The job took several days longer than expected, and cost considerably more as they advised me to replace many other parts, some which they admitted they damaged in the process (e.g. radiator, which was rusting).
Moderate issue: When I picked up the car, the window motor did not work, adding more days: it had worked perfectly before, so they probably caused it when working on the power connections.
Major issue: The motor also was idling at about twice normal speed -- a problem --0 but I accepted the car because I needed it back. In September (2.5 months later) the engine began to run rough; it threatened to die at intersections, and lost power. I took it to a local mechanic: an injector had died. Eand T claim that the injector is not part of the engine. I think they should cover it: I had mentioned to Eand T that the old injectors were bad, and that this needed to be checked. Eand T surely noticed that the replacement engine wasn't running right when I picked it up, or they would not have set the idle so high.
In sum, don't accept a car back from Eand T if it is not completely right when you get it back. Engine replacement is a risky business, and the policy of Eand T seems to be that the customer should bear the risk if there is doubt as to their responsibility. Get a copy of the warrantee and know what is versus is not covered.

"At ETE we value every cusomer however there seems to be a mistake in Charlotte Kings information. We have serviced 2 vehicles for the member. The first was a 2000 Lexus that came to our shop after another shop had disassembled everything in the transmission and could not repair the vehicle. We offered the most competitive price with the best warranty in the business. The member's vehicle was repaired at the exact estimated price. The 2nd vehicle was a 1988 Toyota Corolla that was brought in in August for an intermintent oil light, brake squeel and rattling noises. We re-postioned an exhaust shield, recommened an oil switch and gave a future brake estimate to take care of a brake squeel. However, we stated on the invoice the brakes were "fine at this time". We charged nothing for our service. I will be more than happy to discuss this matter at anytime. Please call me personally, Vince Ferrera VP Sales 414-645-7000"
