We had wallpaper removed from our kitchen and then had the ceiling and walls painted. Greg did an outstanding job. He always arrived early morning and put in a full days work. Very pleasant and easy to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gregg to family and friends. Hope to work with him again.

We hired East Shore Painting as we have used this firm in the past. Because the ceilings were damaged and new drywall was installed primer was needed. East Shore primed the ceilings and applied 2 coats to insure solid coverage. The painting took 3 days, the owner, Greg takes pride in his workmanship and does not cut corners. He covered the carpet and walls, primed the areas, allowed sufficient time for drying and then applied two coats of paint. The result was perfect, all of the areas look wonderful. Other companies did not include priming or two coats of paint. East Shore Painting did the job right, priming because of the drywall repair and two coat to insure complete solid coverage. Would definitely hire again.

Greg did a great job. We had tried to do one room ourselves, and with the knockdown texture of the walls and us generally not being very good at painting, we decided to find someone who knew how. It was definitely worth the money. It took about five weeks to do the whole house, which may sound like a long time, but he was very detailed, diligent, neat, and worked solid days. Everyone who has seen the work has commented on how perfect the lines are along the baseboards, ceilings, and door frames.
After our first contact, Greg came to our home with a whole lot of paint samples and helped us choose colors based on lighting, wood work, flooring, etc. He then came up with a plan as to the order in which he would do the rooms, so we had a schedule. He was always punctual and friendly. Our dogs miss him - he always gave them their afternoon Milk Bone snack.
He didn't ignore minor issues when he saw them, like when he replaced a hanger for the mirror on the wall which wasn't anchored properly. He asked us to move furniture in advance, but he was more than willing to assist. He was enjoyable to have around the house and responsive to all phone calls, requests. I highly recommend Greg's services without hesitation.

1.I WAS TOLD MY INITIAL CHOICE OF COLOR WAS NOT GOOD WHICH RESULTED IN MY HAVING TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL PAINT WHEN HIS CHOICE WAS OFF. 2.GREG WAS CALLED APPROX. TWO WEEKS TO REPAIR THE CEILING AGAIN WHERE THE TAPE HAD COME LOOSE. 3.GREG WAS CALLED AGAIN BECAUSE THE TAPE BUBBLED AND CAME LOOSE AND HE BROUGHT HIS BROTHER "ARCHITECT" TO EXPLAIN THAT THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE BUILDING WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. 4.GREG PROMISED TO REPAIR THE CEILING AGAIN FOR COSMETIC PURPOSES WITH WORK TO COMMENCE ON 1/17/05. HE WAS CALLED PRIOR TO 1/1/05 TO CANCEL FURTHER SERVICE (PAINT UPSTAIRS AND DOWNSTAIRS CABINETRY) BUT HE WAS EXPECTED TO COMPLETE REPAIR..HE REFUSED. 4.CONTRACTED WITH ANOTHER PAINTER TO REPAIR THE CEILING AND DOCUMENT WHAT EAST SHORE HAD DONE WRONG (HAVE LETTER ON FILE). 5. THEIR REPAIRS HAVE LASTED OVER 7 MONTHS WITH NO SIGN OF CRACKING.

"MY JOB WAS TO REPAIR THE CRACKS IN THE CEILING AND WALLS BEFORE FINISH PAINTING IN THE DINING, LIVING AND HALLWAY AREAS. I COMPLETED THE WORK IN A TIMELY MANNER AND THE MEMBERS SAID HOW NICE IT LOOKED. A FEW MONTHS LATER I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE WIFE CONCERNING THE LIVING ROOM CEILING HAD RECRACKED. I WAS A BIT PUZZLED BY THIS BUT TOLD THE WIFE I WOULD COME BACK TO FIX THE CRACKS AND REPAINT. I SPENT AN ADDITIONAL DAY FIXING CRACKS AND REPAINTING AT NO CHARGE TO THE WIFE. (AN ESTIMATED LABOR COST OF APPROX $250.00) SUBSEQUENTLY, THE WIFE HAD CALLED ME ONCE MORE TO SAY THE SAME CRACK IN THE LIVING ROOM HAD RECRACKED. THIS IS WHEN I ASKED FOR THE ADVICE OF MY BROTHER THE ARCHITECT. MY BROTHER SAID THAT BASED UPON THE BLUE PRINTS OF THE HOUSE THERE WAS AN EXISTING LOAD BEARING WALL THAT HAD BEEN REMOVED FROM THE LIVING ROOM AT SOME POINT IN TIME. WHENEVER SOMEONE WALKS FROM THE MASTER BEDROOM UPSTAIRS TO THE MASTER BATHROOM UPSTAIRS THE FLOOR JOIST THAT RUNS ALONG THAT SPAN TENDS TO FLEX FROM THE WEIGHT AND PUSHES DOWN UPON THE CEILING WHERE THE CRACK EXISTS. IN CONCLUSION, NO AMOUNT OF JOINT COMPOUND, JOINT TAPE OR FINISH PAINT WILL STRUCTURALLY KEEP THE CRACK FROM REAPPEARING. WHEN I ASKED THE HUSBAND IF THE CEILING HAD EVER CRACKED IN THE PAST BEFORE MY WORK WAS PERFORMED, HE SAID, “YES”. I WOULD BE INTERESTED TO SPEAK WITH THE CONTRACTOR WHO PERFORMED THE LATEST WORK TO THE CEILING. GREGORY LUETTGEN, EAST SHORE PAINTING"

GREAT JOB. CLEAN PROFESSIONAL. WAS THERE WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD BE, AND DONE IN TIME. ALSO QUOTED EXTERIOR PAINTING, BUT I DECIDED TO WAIT. I WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN. SAVED ME A LOT OF TIME TAPING OFF WOODWORK!!!
