Even though we told the contractor that the wall with the window was likely ROTTEN he failed to replace the rotten wood and instead put a fan on it for 24 hours, braced it and sprayed some stuff on it (it was approved by inspector). We told him repeatedly we wanted it removed. He had the window replaced on the first day and the tub was still installed so I think he wouldn't replace it because he failed to do it prior to getting the window redone.
They made a mess every single day and failed to clean up after themselves. They had to walk through my dining room (past the opening to the living room) and through the kitchen to get into the garage, which they used to store their tools and cut the tile. The dining room, hallway, living room, and kitchen were covered in dust each day. They also stored their tools and the tiles etc all over within that walkway. Not so great when you have a 2 year old. Work was completed in December.
They would not install towel bars, toilet paper holder through the newly installed tile.
Finished tile does not pass the "Mike Holmes quarter test" aka, the tiles are not laid down level and you can feel and see bumps between the separate tiles.
Caulking underneath the new glass block window cracked within the first couple months letting water back into the wall of the shower. We ordered new caulk through a separate company and fixed ourselves.
Contractor would not add second vanity mirror to the wall.
They worked from around 9 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon so we had to take off work early or leave our house late just to talk with the people working on the bathroom.

Gene stuck to his quote even though the job was tough. I questioned some of the things he did & when I asked for repairs on some of the work, he was condescending & flippant to my concerns. The majority of the work is beautiful. The repair he should have done is not done & he won't return my calls.
