Design Group Three

Bob gives special attention and addresses any issues dealing with the expediters. They were very good in working out an issues with our tiles by hand picking the correct ones. They acknowledged our concerns without glossing over them. I will definitely recommend and use them, again.

We worked with Jeff Sporer on the remodel of our kitchen. The team was prompt and professional and over all great. We are very happy with our new kitchen. We love the design and feel of it. Jeff was very on the ball and great with communication. Overall we are very happy with our experience and would use use them again.

Overall, it went very well.  The contractor on our job, Shawn, was excellent.  He made sure to give us a report every morning of what his tasks for the day were, if there was anything that seemed to be a concern, and kept us abreast of the timeline.   There were a couple of snags in our construction - but Design Group Three worked with us to find solutions to all the issues.  We would definitely recommend Design Group Three to anyone looking for innovative solutions to difficult problems and also would use them again. 

We worked with Matt and he was great. He's really helpful. The carpenter that they had was awesome. They came in and finished before the timeline they said they would. They hit their budget and their timeline. They're a little expensive.

Great job! Love the finished kitchen. Alan was easy to work with and Brian was an amazing carpenter. Very professional. Every sub contractor they brought into the home was too! Definitely would recommend.

My husband and I hired Design Group Three as general contractors to manage the remodeling on a newly purchased condo before we moved in. We have high standards and had heard that Design Group Three were perfectionists. We were willing to pay more for a detail-oriented general contractor and high quality work, which is why we chose them though we knew their prices were on the higher side. In the end, we are happy with the final result but feel that it required more quality control effort on our part than was expected.
For example, the fireplace tile was initially set with broken, chipped, and crooked tiles. The dining room chandelier was visibly defective (manufacturer's defect) but was installed by the electrician anyway. There were other examples of minor issues, which I felt should have been caught by a project manager rather than by us, especially since we were not living in the home and only checking in every few days. In these instances, we had to point out the problems to Design Group Three and ask for the subcontractors to come back out to fix the problems. To their credit, they were very gracious with each of these requests and would get the problem fixed to our satisfaction.
Communication with the team was sometimes an issue. The paint brand used was substituted without our knowledge or approval. Emails and phone calls were usually handled promptly but there were sometimes lapses of several days before we heard back. At project completion, we had to remind them to return our keys to us as well as provide manufacturer's warranty paperwork. As a positive, the Design Group Three team and their subcontractors were all very professional, polite and pleasant to deal with.
Ultimately, the price to value ratio was not what we wanted. It did not feel that we were getting a better remodeling experience with Design Group Three than we would have with a more moderately priced general contractor.

From start to finish very positive experience. Any minor issues were handled quickly and w/o hassle.

Excellent remodeling experience!! I was given a schedule at the start of construction with weekly activities so that I was able to follow the work scheduled for each week. My carpenter Brian and all subs were very courteous and professional. The attention to detail, quality workmanship and site clean up were beyond my expectations. The project manager made weekly visits to the site and any concerns I had were immediately addressed. Project was scheduled for 11 weeks and was finished exactly when promised.

We enjoyed their services. We would use them in the future if need be.

We liked they care they take. The carpentry work we had done was done very well. We always ask for Wayne because he does such a good job. We go to them for all of our remodeling needs.

Worked most closely with designer (Terri Bird) and lead carpenter (John). Communication with the team was exceptional, managing expectations of the project remodel very well (i.e., dust, noise, completion dates, project goals). Very helpful suggestions in the design phase, with sensitivity to our budget in the remodel process. John paid careful attention to managing sub-contractors, maintained and exceptionally clean job site, was personable and very trusted in our home. The project took approximately 8 weeks start to finish.

They do good work. They complete the job in a timely fashion. They are good people to work with. They clean up everyday and they do treat the house with respect. I didn’t compare their price with others because we had used them before. We had them do more work this time which was in addition to what we had done years ago and that’s why I wanted to use the same people.

This company was excellent. They finished on time and were great communicators. They also had a great carpenter on-hand that did most of the work. Their prices were higher than others, but the work was superb. I would use this company again in the future.

They did a marvelous job and we had an excellent experience with them. They came out every day and the finished the work in twelve weeks.

I can not say enough about Design Group Three. They are fabulous to work with and they really impressed me. I love this company and would surely recommend their services to other people. They are creative and professional. I will say that cost-wise, they are fair but competitive. I felt that I was charged reasonably.

They had personnel that did good work. If something wasn't quite right, they re-did it without question.
