They provide an excellent service at a low cost.  They monitor and are super responsive.  They call to check up on us to see how everything is going.  Once we were out of town and the alarm went off and they came to the home.  What sets them apart for me is that they are local and very responsive.

We were very pleased with Gene's responsiveness to our questions and phone calls.  They walked us through the process of setting up our system and were helpful in making sure our concerns were addressed without trying to oversell us on products or services.  The only complaints (minor) we had is that the installer didn't clean up the mess from the holes that were drilled installing the system.

Gene is professional and very knowledgeable about systems and options.

 

He designed a great system for my home with the features that I needed. Additional features can be enabled later using the same control pad.

 

The installation team was prompt and professional; they placed all the devices appropriately. They were creative in dealing with challenges presented by my old home, without messing up my walls, ceiling, etc.

 

The system works great, no issues. I would not hesitate to use them again if I ever move.

 

Overall, it went well. The installation team did a great job. They were punctual. They cleaned up after themselves. They were, in a word, professional.

He called back within an hour of my inital call! He was out the next day, and the security system was installed within 2 days of my first call! Very prompt!

GENE CAME OVER TO MEET ME AND DISCUSS WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR IN A SYSTEM. WE DISCUSSED THE BASIC SYSTEM AND THEN TWEEKED IT TO FIT MY NEEDS. GENE WAS VERY POLITE, SENSITIVE TO MY FAMILY'S NEEDS, AND A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. WE SET UP AN APPT. AND WHEN HE HAD A CANCELLATION HE CALLED ME TO HAVE THE WORK DONE SOONER. THE INSTALLATION TOOK APPROXIAMATELY. 6 HOURS AND WAS COMPLETED BY 2 OF GENE'S WORKERS. BOTH WERE FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND MADE SURE TO GO OVER ANYTHING I DIDN'T IMMEDIATELY UNDERSTAND. GENE CAME BY LATER TO TALK WITH ME AND I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY. I WOULD ALSO CHOOSE THEM AGAIN IF I EVER NEEDED ANOTHER SECURITY SYSTEM.

I CALLED SHIELD SECURITY IMMEDIATELY AFTER GETTING THEIR NUMBER BY PHONE FROM ANGIE'S LIST. GENE, WHO WAS ON ANOTHER JOB AT THE TIME, SPENT AS MUCH TIME AS IT TOOK TO GET THE SPECIFICATIONS OF THE WORK I NEEDED DONE. HE THEN ASSURED ME THAT HE WOULD ''SWING BY'' TO SEE IF HE COULD DO THE JOB REQUIRED. GENE SPENT TIME GOING OVER WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE, HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE, AND HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST. ON THE DAY OF THE JOB, GENE SHOWED UP ON TIME, INTRODUCED US TO THE WORKERS WHO WOULD DO THE JOB AND LEFT. THE TWO YOUNG MEN CAME IN THE HOUSE EXPLAINED THAT THEY WOULD BE ALL OVER THE HOUSE DOWNSTAIRS AND UPSTAIRS WHERE THE DAYCARE IS. WITH THAT, MY FAMILY AND I GOT OUT THEIR WAY AND LET THEM ''DO THEIR THING''. ABOUT 4 HOURS LATER MY DAUGHTER AND I WERE UPSTAIRS WHEN WE HEARD SINGING DOWNSTAIRS. SHE WENT DOWNSTAIRS TO INVESTIGATE AND SHE TOLD ME LATER SHE FOUND GENE,-THE BOSS- WHO HAD RETURNED, SWEEPING AND SINGING AS HE HELPED THE OTHERS CLEAN UP. THE WORK WAS DONE WELL AND ON T

PERFORMED AS PROMISED. EXPLAINED SYSTEM THOROUGHLY. NOT THE LEAST EXPENSIVE, BUT DELIVERED AS PROMISED, ON-TIME WITH PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. (SHORT DELAY IN SOME FOLLOW-UP SERVICE, DUE TO VOLUME OF OTHER WORK?)

INSTALLATION WAS VERY QUICK AND THOROUGH. INSTALLERS DRAGGED WIRES THROUGH WALLS AND THEY ARE COMPLETELY HIDDEN.

INITIAL PRICE IS MUCH MORE THAN ADT/BRINKS TYPE COMPANIES, BUT YOU GET MUCH MORE PROTECTION (MORE AND BETTER DETECTORS). MONTHLY MONITORING COST IS MUCH LESS WHEN YOU OWN YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT.
