Josh at Community Roofing is very easy to work with. He got us a quote quickly, he came to each appointment on time and prepared and he communicated promptly and thoroughly throughout the process. The work crew worked efficiently, was very friendly and polite and they cleaned up at the end of each day. We had a very good experience and our new roof looks beautiful.

They did a beautiful job. Josh was an extremely nice person. Their price was very fair.

I have always had a very positive experience in working with Community Roofing. My principal contact has been with Josh. They take great care to protect the plants and flowers surrounding the house. Josh's team cleans up after doing their job. They also take pride in their workmanship, and stand behind their work. I will use them again for my roofing needs.

They arrived on time and got started right away. They cleaned up the trash from the job and took it with them. They were a crew of about six with a team leader that was concerned about doing the job right. They also provided a written guarantee on the work. You get what you pay for, and Josh & Team did a fabulous job on a national historic registry home. Highly recommend.

Community Roofing & Restoration did very well. I liked their sensitivity for fixing an older home and their ability to work with the architectural style. However, I thought that their price was extremely high for what we got, and that they took much longer than they should have. The work was completed over a month which is a long time for a spray asphalt roof.

Most of the contract was handled by the seller of the property, but we were able to work directly with them to add a few things on - including installation of a rain barrel, which was important to us. They were easy to work with, professional and did a great job on the roof. It looks beautiful!

They originally told me it would be 2-3 weeks based on good weather conditions, and that the work would take 2 days. They never showed up to inspect the gutters. I left an email for them approximately 5 weeks later, and never had it returned. So, I waited around all spring for them to come and do the work on the contract that I accepted and never had the common courtesy of a return call. These guys are a waste of time and I would advise people to look elsewhere.

Punctual, efficient, polite and clean. The price was right in the middle, perfect. I got quotes from $26,000 down to $8,000. I had to assume the $26,000 quote was taking me for a ride and the $8,000 may or may not show up or do it right.

My roof leaks worst than it did before. The copper flashing around the chimney that they did is still bad. They never put a ridge vent on my roof either because they claimed I didn't need it.

Community was extremely responsive and helpful to us. Without their help and expertise, we would not have been able to make the right decision when purchasing a home. They provided us with detailed estimates and damage assessments far beyond any other roofer. Additionally, they went above and beyond to do follow-up meetings with the seller and their insurance company to detail their findings. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the service and communication they provided us through the process and would recommend Community Roofing to everyone!

Jim Godsil and his assistant, Shedd Spring, did a great job. The price was the best, by far, of any estimates. We have used Community Roofing over two decades to address all of our roofing needs. We have always appreciated their attentiveness to doing a good job. They provided proof of insurance and did the work in a timely manner.

It's a 3-car garage and needed a fair amount of work from damaged eaves and other water damage. Carl did the estimate and they started and ended right on time. They gave us helpful advice and options for the damage repair. They're a bit expensive but worth it.

Estimate went well. Very thorough and professional.

Reasonable price for the work. The staff was very helpful in answering questions. Some delay in getting phone calls returned, but not enough to create a real problem.

They responded to our call for a roofing estimate quickly and were on time for the appointment. The cost of their bid was the highest of the five we got, for the same work.

By reputation, this is one of the best roofing companies, especially for historic houses. The jobs I have seen them do are spectacular. The quote for my roof came in quite high, but the specified materials and labor-intensive practices justified the costs. Unfortunately, I just didn't have the money to afford the Cadillac of roof jobs. If I were looking for a specialty roof (Terra cotta, slate, copper, etc.) these are the guys. I would encourage anyone who is planning on living in their historic house for more than 25 years to consider a roof by Community!

Excellent work. This is the second roof they have done for me. Honest and straight forward. Fair price, and they communicate with you if they are running late or are changing what day they are coming. Cleaned up very nicely after the job. Jim Godsel is a pleasure to work with, very upbeat and enthusiastic. Loves his work.

VERY POOR COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE COMPANY AND OUR HOUSEHOLD. PHONE CALLS TOOK DAYS TO RETURN. DATES TO START AND FINISH CHANGED CONSTANTLY WITHOUT MUCH NOTICE. MATERIALS WERE LEFT ALL AROUND OUR HOME DURING THE WORK AND AFTER IT WAS COMPLETE. WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS COMPANY. EVEN AFTER A CALL REPORTING OUR DISSATISFACTION, NOTHING WAS DONE.

THEY MUST HAVE COME BY AND DONE THE ESTIMATE WHILE I WASN'T AT HOME, BUT I STILL HAVE NEVER HEARD FROM THEM. I WOULDN'T USE A COMPANY THAT WON'T CALL ME BACK OR TALK TO ME IN PERSON.

WE FIRST BECAME ACQUAINTED WITH JIM GODSIL OF COMMUNITY ROOFING IN ABOUT 1978, WHEN HE REPLACED A ROOF. AFTER WE MOVED, HE REPLACED ROOF ON ANOTHER HOME IN 1981, AND IN 2000. THIS SEPTEMBER, WHEN A PAINTER NOTED PROBLEMS WITH ROOF NEAR FRONT AND BACK DORMERS, JOSH OF COMMUNITY ROOFING CAME OUT TO LOOK AT PROBLEM, AND OFFERED TO REPAIR BOTH AREAS IMMEDIATELY, WITH NO CHARGE TO US. THE WORK WAS DONE PROMPTLY, CORRECTLY, AND EFFICIENTLY. WE WERE PLEASED WITH COURTEOUSNESS OF STAFF, AND WITH THE MANNER IN WHICH THEY ADDRESSED THIS PROBLEM. WE ALSO APPRECIATE THEIR WILLINGNESS TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM WITH NO CHARGE TO US. THEY HAVE OUR DEEPEST GRATITUDE, AND DESERVE HONORABLE MENTION IN YOUR PUBLICATION.

NO HASSLE JOB. I CALLED HIM, HE GAVE ESTIMATE, AND GOT IT DONE PROMPTLY. HE CAN ALSO GIVE YOU THE HISTORY OF ROOF REPLACEMENT ON HUNDREDS OF HOUSES, SEEMINGLY OFF THE TOP OF HIS HEAD. DEFINITELY A UNIQUE ROOFING EXPERIENCE. I WILL CALL AGAIN FOR FUTURE WORK.

FIXED A LEAK IN THE ROOF AND REPAIRED/REPLACED GUTTERS. VERY FAST AND EFFICIENT

I HAD GOT AN ESTIMATE END OF AUG. WHICH CONTAINED A CONTRACT. I CALLED AND ASKED COMPANY TO START WORK . I WAS TOLD TO SEND HALF OF THE MONEY AS THE CONTRACT STATED. I MAILED MONEY, BUT NEVER KNEW EXACTLY WHEN THE JOB WOULD BEGIN. I CALLED AND ASKED ABOUT A START DATE AND WAS TOLD THE WEEK OF 11/18/02. I ASKED THEM TO CALL ME AND LET ME KNOW AN EXACT DAY. ON THE 25TH, TWO MEN SHOWED. THEY DID NOT LET ME KNOW THEY WERE THERE, NOT WHEN I TRIED TO TALK TO THEM WERE THEY ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH ME. THEY STARTED THE WORK, BUT I WASNT EVEN SURE IF THEY WERE FROM THE COMPANY OR WHO THEY WERE- THEY DIDNT HAVE AN ADVERTISEMENT ON THEIR TRUCK NOR LET ME KNOW WHERE THEY WERE FROM . THEY WERE HERE FOR 3 HRS AND I DID NOT KNOW IF JOB WAS COMPLETED. I CALLED NEXT DAY AND ASKED IF THE JOB WAS COMPLETE - "NO, STILL HAD SOME WORK TO DO". WERE SUPPOSED COME COME BACK 11/26. THEY DID SHOW BUT I DO NOT KNOW IF THEY FINISHED THE WORK AND THEY LEFT AN INVOICE IN MY MAIL BOX FOR THE REMAINING $350.

VERY GOOD ABOUT RETURNING PHONE CALLS AND KEEPING ME UP TO DATE ON PROGRESS OF JOB. LEFT THE JOBSITE CLEANER THAN WHEN THEY ARRIVED. WERE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR NEW ROOF, IT LOOKS GREAT!
