Chris did a great job of selling himself. It went downhill from there. Chris turned out to be completely responsive both to us (home seller) and to any potential buyer. His response time varied, but on average It would take 3-5 phone calls, a couple of emails, and a week for him to get back to us on something. There was never a case of him responding the same day. He subcontracts every aspect of being a real estate agent, and had no shortage of excuses whenever we expressed our annoyance with his services. His photographer of choice had a fancy camera, but was not very professional, despite all the hype and praise Chris laid upon her. The photos were average at best. His showing management is also troublesome. Chris does not actually manage showings himself, which he portrays as being positive for the homeowner. However, any time his showing management company emailed us about a showing and there was a conflict, it was a nightmare to get ahold of somebody and reschedule it. Contacting Chris directly was a waste of time, since usually by the time he called us back, the showing time had already passed. We frequently felt that Chris was doing very little to sell the house, and we were doing all his work for him. The MLS listing had several errors, which we noticed immediately but Chris took over 3 weeks to correct them. This was especially annoying since his own website was correct but the MLS (which trickles down to Zillow, Trulia etc) had several glaring mistakes. He put the blame on his assistant (nothing is ever his fault). Another example of this was the paperwork. It was riddled with errors, but SURPRISE, Chris had somebody else fill out these forms too. Getting them corrected was another hassle, and Chris told us to "contact XXXX (his assistant) directly". I would never wish this guy on anybody.
