I have to say this was a great experience
I had a basement remodel done . I wanted a certain type of ceramic flooring called dura ceramic. I went in to carpet factory outlet met with a very nice man named Ed. He was very helpful on what I wanted. He also proved the price was better than the big box stores! I was amazed! As this was very expensive flooring!
When I am ready for more flooring I will be going back to carpet factory outlet and asking for Ed!
The carpet install was completed successfully and to my satisfaction of two days as scheduled/ The only issue is that the door to the office no longer opens/closes because it needs to be shaved and this was not completed at the time of the install. I have was satisfied with the carpet, so I went back to contract them for a kitchen floor.
The approximately 225 Sq.Ft flooring job was scheduled for one day and ended up taking two FULL days (11 hours the first day and 7 ½ hours the second) because they were not prepared for the job.
I had informed the owner, Dave, that there were two layers of old tile that would need to come up. He apparently had only planned to remove one layer, so when the install started, the guys realized that that both layers would need to come up. They did not come prepared with the new subflooring that was included in the contract, so they had to go purchase it which took 3 hours when it should have taken only one. Then there was a run to the shop to get the correct adhesive and another for sealant. At 9:30p.m., they left for the day with only the subfloor installed. We decided that they should come back the following day, to complete the job. The job was not completed until 6:30 the following night.
They promised to return the third day to trim down the doors that no longer open with the new floor, including the one that became a problem after the carpet install. That never happened.
The install guys were very nice and very apologetic, but that does not get my time back. My plans for both evenings had to be canceled since they were still working. After much debate, I called the owner to tell him I was not happy. He made some weak apologies, but followed them up with excuses saying that ?you never know how long a job is going to take? and removing the second layer of tile was the problem, but again it was my understanding that both would have been removed all along. He promised to talk to the guys about the length of time it took to get supplies and have them return to shave the doors but I will take care of it myself rather than waste more time waiting. The floor does look great, although there is a bubble in it. He told me to ?give the bubble a few days to go down? and call him if it doesn?t.
In my opinion, Dave really made no attempt to reconcile my disappointment or to compensate me for my time. I am sure that has something to do with the fact that I have paid them in full to have the floors in my entire house carpeted or tiled and am no longer a potential customer.
1/10/15: UPDATE Carpet Factory did send someone out to the house to trim the doors that no longer opened after the floor and carpet install. The man was very nice and I am satisfied with the resolution of that issue. I was told to notify Carpet Factory if the small "bubbles" in the kitchen floor are still a problem in a few weeks.

The installers came about a week later and did a decent job installing carpet. they leveled out the floor to match the carpet seam with the tile and vinyl seams. They forgot to finish the seam between the tile and carpet but when they did come back they finished it nicely.
Unfortunately, the vinyl was installed so poorly it will never look good. The seams are very obvious and there are quite a few bumps in the floor. The pattern in the vinyl is also not parallel with the walls. This would not bother me so much but a friend noticed it right away. CFO also put vinyl on the stairs. They did such a poor job the riser pieces fell down the day after they installed it. Extremely, bumpy also.
I called Dave back at CFO and he sent the installers back out but there was nothing they could do to fix it without a complete reinstall.
i am extremely disappointed in the waste of money.
After adding this review and one on yelp Dave called and came back out to the house to check out the install. I decided not to have anything done but I did really appreciate the good customer service.
I contacted Carpet Factory Outlet when I purchased a condo and I wanted a new laminate floor installed in one-half of the condo - I had a very tight deadline to get things done before I had to move in and I didn't think it would be possible, but CFO got it done for me. I contacted CFO and Tim, one of the owners, came out to do the measuring. Tim made recommendations for the type of floor I wanted, and then let me make the decisions - there was none of that pushy, high-pressure sales crap that you often get when shopping for things like this, and I very much appreciated that. The flooring was ordered and arrived quickly - Tim called me to schedule the installation and was very patient and understanding when I had to change the installation date because I had to have painters working in the condo also. At any rate, the old carpeting was ripped out and the new laminate installed, and the employees who came to do the installation arrived on time and got down to work immediately - these guys are certainly very efficient. They're also clean, personable and very careful to do the job right the first time. I had no worries about leaving my keys with them - and I had no complaints from neighbors about noise or other problems you sometimes run into if you live in a condo building and you're having work like this done.
The new floor was absolutely beautiful - so beautiful, in fact, that as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have the older, existing laminate floor ripped out and replaced with the newer stuff. So, then, I called Tim at CFO again and asked if there was any way that they could do the rest of the floor before I moved in - and, guess what? Tim comes out to measure again, orders the flooring and has his crew go to Madison to pick it up for me! They installed this new order within two days - and, once again, an expert job was done - with employees who, again, were very efficient, clean and very nice to work with. I could not find a flaw in their work - and I'm very detail-oriented, so if any existed, I would have found them. I cannot say enough good things about Carpet Factory Outlet and their service - when you put the great employees together with an owner like Tim - one who really cares about what's done in the name of his business - you can't fail to end up with great flooring at a great price, and expertly installed at that! Thanks, Tim, I really appreciate everything you and your employees did for me, and the new floor throughout the condo looks absolutely beautiful - I couldn't be more pleased with it!
