Campbell Furniture Repair & Refinishing

My husband would have done a better job. They did not seem to have any pride in their job. Way over priced for what they did. Very disappointed!!

Mr. Campbell picked up my kitchen table 5 weeks ago with the intention that he would refinish it during our kitchen remodel.  We arranged for him to deliver the table this past Tuesday, 3/26, but he never showed or called to say why.  Depending on whether I find that Mr. Campbell had some personal or family emergency, I may change this grade, but will not use his services again.
To add a footnote, Mr. Campbell's voice mailbox has been full since Thursday.  If I do not hear from him by Monday, I feel I have no recourse but to contact the police.

Update: Turns out Mr. Campbell was in deed in the hospital, so that accounts for missed delivery and non returned calls.  I am still bothered by the fact that he did not start the job until after he was released when according to my calculations, he hat my table for 4 weeks and a day before he was admitted for his sudden illness.  

I have the table now, but am not happy with the quality of work.  There are several rough spots on the surface, and he appears to have missed some spots with the 2nd coat of varnish.  Again, he is a one man operation working out of his home who I'm sure was not feeling close to 100% when he did the work.  My guess is that other reviews are going to be closer to what you can expect in the future.
       
One suggestion to Mr. Campbell would be to give his voice mail password to his wife, family member or friend so that customers can be contacted in the event of emergencies like this one.

Our experience having our vintage living room sofa reupholstered by Campbell Furniture was not a good one. Their experience may be furniture refinishing and commercial reuphostering but it apparently is not suitable for residential work. Completely unacceptable quality, basic expectations unmet, and no response to our complaints was what we received.
This is a hard report to file but one that unfortunately is necessary. Otherwise, other customers will probably be as disappointed as we were.

We took 2 chairs to his office and when he returned them to our home, he took the remaining 4 chairs.  He returned them 2 days later.  He also refinished the caning on the backs of the chairs .  They are now restored to beautiful condition.  His work was excellent and prompt; very personable man.  We appreciated the door-to-door  service.

He has been wonderful. He is extremely helpful and has very good at what he does.

The interactions with this company went very well both at my home and at his shop. When I wanted to see the bed, I brought along the antique table and he said he would fix that as well for a very reasonable price.

Great work, very professional and responsive. They came when stated. Provided an estimate below what I expected for then to come in and fix the problem. They were not able to perform the work at that time but provided a date when they would return. He arrived as expected fixed the problem with the dining room table. Very quick work. No more wobble with the table.

They did a great job. They picked up and delivered the piece when done. The owner did a good job of translating what I wanted into the finished product, being exactly what I wanted. I would definitely use Campbell's again.
