We purchased our home in September 2013, with the understanding that the house had been reroofed (second layer of shingles). In April 2014 we discovered a leak, probably flashing. We called the contractor, he came over (late) and said he would "do us a favor and caulk it since we are neighbors" (no idea where he lives, in a follow up online I discovered three different addresses for his business).  You do not caulk things to repair a leak, that much we knew.  There was no way we were going to let this guy do anything.  We ended up getting another roofer over, who walked the roof and said there were MANY things done incorrectly.  We brought in an independent roof expert/inspector who identified 15 different things that were incorrectly done. We did get an attorney involved, but ultimately decided it would be like getting blood from a turnip, not worth the legal fees when a contractor who is this unprofessional probably doesn't have money and there is no way we are allowing this guy to install a different roof. We have received quotes ranging from $12,000-$18,000 for a new roof.  We would not let C&C Roofing put a roof on a dog house.

It went horrible. They did not probably secure roof when they took back part of roof off.   It stormed and the ceiling came down.  He was not licensed.  He had not paid fee to continue his business name.  It was a terrible experience and we are seeking retribution now.
