The window replacement and screen door repair went well. They replaced the screen and the rollers. While they were at my home, we asked for an estimate to replace a broken window. They also noticed other windows that needed to be replaced. We agreed to replace two sliding door screens and the bottom rollers. We also agreed to replace two windows. owever, while installing the windows, they damaged two of our window screens as they were taking them out or putting them back in (they were a pretty tight fit). We found the damage later that day and called Broken Windows. They denied that they damaged the screens. They agree to replace one of the damaged screens if we paid to replace the other damaged screen. We paid for them to replace two other window screens. As it turns out, when we got the screens back, none of the window screens fit the frames anymore, even when we waited for warmer weather in May (in case the frames shrunk during the cold winter temperatures). We will now go to another company to replace all four screens and to replace all corners of each damaged screen.

I knew Bob from a previous job and thought I could swing some business his way. I had been been given estimates from other vendors for windows, had two replaced. Vendor said a couple windows could be repaired but they didn’t do it. Broken windows charged me $98.00 trip charge in the middle of snow storm. Never looked at two of three windows because he didn’t want to walk in snow. One window he never even saw. So without looking or measuring declares my windows unrepairable, says I only want wood windows not vinyl like I had just had two windows done. Was there a total of less than 5 minutes demanded a check for $98.00 and left. Got a email quote a day later that could not possibly be right because he never measured windows. Stay away from thi company at all costs

We had two double pane casement widows that needed repair - in one one of the panes was broken, and in the other there was a bad seal that allowed it to fill with condensation and mold. It took a few days from the time we called before someone could come to the house, measure the windows and prepare an estimate. They charge $60 to do this, but, credit it toward the final price if you accept their estimate and authorize the work. It was necessary to order replacements from the factory and so it was about two weeks after the estimate before the repair could be completed. The replacement took about two hours. The work was efficiently done, it looks as good as new. Both the man who came out to do the initial estimate and the man who replaced the glass were personable and efficient. For both appointments we were given a one-hour time period in which we were told to expect them. The man who came to do the estimate was about a half an hour late, but the man who came to do the repair arrived at the expected time. While i got no other estimates with which to to compare it, the price charged seemed reasonable to me, I was very pleased with the service and the quality of the work. I would contact them gain should the need arise.

They are okay. I would use them again. I have old windows and there is only few companies that deal with shaft replacements. I think they should have a done more thorough and professional job when they did the work. Spend the time to do it right.

The procedure was completed in a short time.  The patio door screen had only been repaired once in forty years, and because of an existing storm window, it was rather difficult to remove from the window frame.  But, Bob managed quite efficiently.  In a matter of less than an hour, the screen was replaced and returned to the frame.  It, now, looks lovely.
It was a pleasure communicating with Bob, whose manner was friendly and professional.  If ever I need any work done on windows, I will definitely call this company again!

We had been looking around at home shows and hardware stores and online for about 2 years before jumping into this project of replacing the original 70 year old drafty and decaying entry door and screen doors.  We wanted high quality--there are pets and children--good looks, and functionality.  Robert spent all the time with us we needed to help us make the best selections.  We had to wait for the weather to warm up--which was fine with us--and once a 2 day window opened that worked for both of us--the doors went on without a hitch.  They worked cleanly and quietly and we have received many compliments.

They were prompt for both the Est and the repair.  I received a phone call that they would be early to do repair work and did not mind waiting for me to get home.  The job was done quicky and they cleaned up all the broken glass.  Price was a little higher than other Est but I have used Broken Glass in the past and knew the job would be done well.  Since I'd used them before I did not have to put down a deposit at the time of the Est.

I went in to Broken Windows to get a replacement piece of glass for the frame my Ph. D. is in. I had broken the glass while the frame (sans degree) sat on my office floor. I took the frame in, told the gentleman what I needed, and he cut the piece of glass in no more than a couple of minutes. The only sticking point is that the piece of glass was under $5, their limit for using a credit/debit card, and I had no cash. There weren't any signs posted specifying the $5 minimum. I offered to write a check but the employee said he would run the card and deal with the owner later. I will definitely use them in the future. By the way, my Ph. D. is now proudly displayed adjacent to my Bachelor's degree.

I had my estimate in early May.  The window company sent the wrong window panes... so it took a month & 1/2 to get my windows & cranks installed.  Overall I thought the price was a little high and should have gotten a 2nd estimate.  However they charge a $60 estimating charge... so I didn't want my $60 to go to waste.  The owner is very nice and professional and finished the work swiftly once the windows came in.  He also replaced 2 cranks that he wasn't supposed 2, so I was charged for those.  Which I didn't like.

"Hello. we just recently found your response and feel bad about your experience. once in awhile the manufacturer will send us the wrong product. we do try our best to make sure that everything goes smooth on our visit for the repair. the additional repairs you mentioned were they needed ? the customer does have the right to refuse if we notice additional work. we just like to mention it while were there to give you the cost savings. If you give us a call, we'd be happy to take care of any uncertainty or wrong feelings."

I walked in to Broken Glass and told the gentleman that was working that I needed a piece of glass for a diploma frame. He measured the frame, cut the piece of glass, and I was out the door in about five minutes. I would go back.

Arrived within 2 hour stated time frame, set up their workshop area on driveway & start to finish was approx. 1 hr.  2 guys were professional & informative.  Paid 1/2 the cost of window replacement estimate (deposit) for ordering purposes; balance upon finishing of job.  Time from estimate to installation (including window ordering & measurement) about 3 wks; they called  2 wks. later  to set up repair for following week.

"we do appreciate your comments and thoughts. we get numerous calls everyday from people just looking for a price. we really cant afford to just drive around for free all day. accepting the service fee cost, shows us that your serious about having your problem taken care. like you mentioned, we do credit that into your bill and once your in our system, we never ask for it again. thanks and take care"

The workman was very prompt and polite. He completed the work in a timely manner and left no mess. My only comment would be that it would be nice to reach an employee by phone when I had questions. I had to leave a message a wait for a call back.

These guys are great at repairing old windows! I would tell anyone to try them first before thinking they need to throw out their windows. They even had a neat crank handle for one of our old casement windows that we were using and allen wrench to open and close.

THEIR SERVICE DESK WAS VERY COURTEOUS WHEN I CALLED TO INQUIRE ABOUT THIS JOB. THEY WERE VERY RESPONSIVE IN SETTING UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR ONE OF THEIR MEN TO COME TO MY HOUSE TO DO THE WORK. THEY ALSO CALLED AN HOUR OR SO BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYTHING WAS STILL ON (A NICE TOUCH). THE SERVICE MAN DID A NICE JOB IN TAKING OUT THE BROKEN PANE, INSTALLING A NEW PANE, RE-GLAZING AND CLEANING UP AFTERWARD. HE WAS IN AND OUT, DONE IN A LITTLE OVER AN HOUR. IT WAS AS IF THE WINDOW HAD NEVER BEEN BROKEN. BROKEN WINDOWS, INC. IS A VERY PROFESSIONAL WELL RUN COMPANY AND I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN. THE ONLY OTHER COMMENT THAT I WOULD MAKE IS IN REGARD TO THEIR PRICE RATING. I CALL THEIR PRICING GOOD, BUT NOT EXCELLENT BECAUSE IT WAS A BIT HIGHER THAN I THOUGHT IT SHOULD BE. AROUND $100 WOULD HAVE PUT IT IN THE HIGHER RATING CATEGORY.
