Went well.  Jobs were difficult to estimate due to interior deteriioration. and high 3rd floor location.  Crew was quick and careful.

They finally got the windows in 8 months later and finally just recently caulked. He had to order a new bathroom window. Andy has been very disrespectful during this whole process. I offer them coffee but they show up whenever they want. He argued with me over 3 months about the color of the window. He doesn't return your calls. He is just very unprofessional. His stuff was all over the yard, the back and the garage. They did not have a protected window in my bathroom, also I wanted a right height toilet, and never received them.

Wonderful. The owner Andy Braatz and his crew cleanly and efficiently removed the carpet, then told us options - light sanding vs heavy sanding and refinishing vs laminate - the pros, cons, and prices of each. We selected the laminate and requested an anti-mold underlayment. They were able to match the oak hardwood floor perfectly. The job was done very professionally - it looks like a brand new room - spectacular looking. The work is highest quality. They know their stuff, their work is impeccable - and the price was very competitive - much lower than I expected. The carpentry repair of my chair also outstanding. Would use them again in a heartbeat. Highest recommendation.

We choose Braatz because he talked us out of some of our proposed re-modelling plans, pointing out items that
were unnecessary, such as removing the bathtub and an intricate older tile floor.
Andy showed an incredible sense of detail and followed through on everything.

counters, sinks and faucets as a cost saving measure.

As first time builders, we wanted a General Contractor who would be open to us being very hands-on and involved throughout the process. Do - Do your homework - I had a good idea what type of flooring I wanted, but appreciated Andy's suggestions. Do - Get different estimates. Andy's estimate was very competitive.

If I had any questions or issues during this project, they were promptly addressed and resolved to my satisfaction. When Andy came to do the estimate, I told him that the new porch was going to be the cornerstone of the entire project, and that I was really looking for something special. He responded by building a porch that was absolutely beautiful! He put a lot of extra time and effort into it, and my wife and I were overjoyed with the results. While Andy was present and took a real hands-on approach to this project, on the days he was unable to be there, his crew still performed just as if he was there. They are a great bunch of guys who are committed to the same excellence and pride in their work that Andy has in his. It was like being on an HGTV show! We asked Andy to remodel our bathroom while we were on a 6 day vacation so that we wouldn't be without a bathroom during the remodel. Little did we know what a feat that would be and how hard the guys were working while we were gone, relaxing on vacation. They worked long hours to finish the project by the time we returned - and they were literally walking out the door with the last of their cleaning supplies while we pulled up to the house. The transformation was amazing. The quality of fixtures, tile and workmanship was great. I would highly recommend Braatz Building and his subcontractors to anyone - and have done so already!
