Terrible Experience. Wish I’d read reviews—he was a referral from his wife, an acquaintance; I was trying to be the good neighbor and going local. Highest bid of 3 but said he could come sooner. First thing he says on arrival, though, is he had sports commitments and wouldn’t spend much time that week...even though he knew I was getting ready to sell. More importantly: quality of work was really bad. He dripped and spattered. We argued over whether to tarp and tape. Seriously? I have to beg? His reaction to my gently put request to use drop clothes soured his attitude the rest of the job. And the spatters I pointed out the first day, like on the dishwasher and fridge: He never cleaned them. ‘We’re not people pleasers”, he said at one point. The ‘finished” job had his drips down a wall, his smears on the granite and his paint bleed on the cabinet glass. When he did agree to tape when painting bead board he left a 3” gap; so every day I just had to clean up the microspatter after he left. In the course of a few hours over 3 days he claimed to have put on ‘5-6 coats’ of paint. Although we agreed to several coats for the bead board he refused, ‘just one and done.’ Communication terrible: he doesn’t listen or jumps to conclusions without asking: He painted toe kicks without asking; although we agreed on enamel paint for the headboard he used wall paint instead. When he re-hung the cabinet doors, 2 were crooked/uneven. He shrugged. On lifting my really really heavy microwave back into its niche, his response was essentially, “you’re on your own there.” A really awful experience .

HE FINISHED THE JOB IN A DAY BUT HE HAD A LATE START. HE DIDNT BRING ANY WORK LIGHTS & WHEN HE FINISHED THERE WERE SPOTS LEFT UNPAINTED ON THE CEILING. I ENDED UP HAVING TO DO SOME TOUCH UP WORK MYSELF.

THERE ARE MINOR IMPERFECTIONS IN THE WORK DONE. CAN NOT MAKE THE COMPANY COME BACK TO FIX THE DEFECT. IT HAS BEEN TWO OR THREE WEEKS SINCE THE OWNER PROMISED TO RETURN AND COMPLETE THE JOB. ACCORDING TO YOUR PREVIOUS REPORTS, I EXPECTED A GOOD QUALITY JOB. SOMEWHAT DISAPPOINTED AND AM NOT SURE IF I WILL HIRE THEM AGAIN.

HE WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. THIS GUY NEVER HAD TO USE A DROP CLOTH. HE DOESNT GET A DROP CLOTH ANYWHERE. I AM DEFINITELY GOING TO HAVE HIM BACK IN THE FALL TO DO SOME MORE WORK. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE HIM! THE PAINTING HE DOES IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. THERE IS NOTHING TO CLEAN UP. I AM ABSOLUTELY AMAZED AT HIS WORK. HE ALSO HAS A REAL PLEASANT PERSONALITY. I HAD NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL. THANKS ANGIES LIST. I COULD HAVE NEVER FOUND HIM ON MY OWN.

PAINTING OF STORM WINDOWS GOOD. REFINISH WOOD INSIDE NOT AS GOOD. CAULKING NOT COLOR MATCHED.

BOOK AHEAD IN THE SUMMER TIME. HE DOES INTERIOR WORK ON RAINY DAYS
