They do a good job on the lawn with their mowing service. But the billing is inconsistent. Invoices show up irregularly with random billing periods. When I called to question this, I was told that their billing is rarely on time or regular but that will never change and there's nothing they can do about it. Not the best customer service, but decent lawn team.

The front yard is divided into two parts. There is a smaller side and a larger side. On the smaller side, the grass did grow, but it was more of a twitch grass. On the larger side, the grass did not grow well at all and there are now a lot of large, bare spots. We had found complaints on Angie's List regarding sub-standard application and poor responsiveness. We also checked the BBB, and discovered an unsatisfied customer report on their site. Eventually, when we had called several times, they finally did offer to come out and plant more grass seed and lay more straw for an additional $400.00, which was outrageous as the job was not properly finished the first time. We are requsting a refund of $350.00 because we don't want them to come back here.

Currently I have two crooked retainer walls , no resolution has of 7/02/012. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL , SCAM ARTIST BUSINESS.VERY , VERY , VERY unsatisfied with the work and I will not stop until I receive STRAIGHT RETAINER WALLS.

"To Whom it May Concern: Our company, ALLCARE SERVICE, built the retaining walls according to the specifications engineered by the manufacturer of the blocks (which were supplied by the customer). Each line of block is to be backset slightly, an operation predetermined by the manufactured concrete “lip” on the bottom back side of each block. The manager visited the job site to inspect the wall on June 11, 2012, and determined that the block was installed properly. During that same visit he did slightly adjust three blocks which he felt were not perfect. When contacting the homeowner after the manager’s inspection, the homeowner admitted altering the wall after that inspection date. The customer claimed he had tried to make the wall straight, vertically. However, the wall is not engineered to be straight vertically: each line of block must be set back using the engineered lip on the block itself. Therefore, the customer’s wall is currently neither sound nor aesthetically pleasing due to the customer’s moving of the blocks themselves. Cordially, David J Whaley, President, ALLCARE SERVICE INC."

This was a great experience, as far as tree removals go. We received an estimate the same day we called. The price was unbeatable--other companies wanted more that $1000 to do the work. They showed up when promised, worked quickly, and cleaned up all the mess. I would highly recommend this company.

The project went very well. The estimator arrived on time, took a look at what we needed, and wrote an estimate at the time. The price was about even with another company, but they were able to complete the work sooner. On the day the work was done, the employees arrived on time, completed the work efficiently, and cleaned up when they were done.

Allcare mowed our lawn twice, but we canceled with them after the second time. Their price seemed a bit on the high side and they did an extremely poor job on top of that. The first time they came, they drove a large mower down a sidewalk that had Pachysandra on each side, but they didn't bother to shut off the mower, so they mowed all our Pachysandra within about a foot of each edge of the sidewalk. The second time they came, it was about an hour after it had been raining for nearly two days straight and they left tracks in our yard that took almost a month to disappear. Our yard was green-and-brown striped for weeks. I know sometimes it's unavoidable for them to mow when it's wet, but this seemed excessive - I'm sure they could have waited at least a few more hours.

They did a fine job and in a timely manner. They were prompt at returning my calls, and courteous. The only part I didn't like was that there was no written estimate AND no written work order, everything was done on the phone. I called and described the location, they came out and looked a couple days later when I wasn't home, then called with the estimate and I said go ahead, and they came a few days later and removed the tree, then sent a bill in the mail. Really, I could have called and asked them to remove a tree in anyone's yard and the work would be done before the stranger could protest! This seems a bit unprofessional.

I have always found Mr Wahley and his crews to be high quality and hard working and reasonably priced. They will clear a downed tree as well as remove dead specimens. They respond to suggestions and compaints quickly and politely. I can always reach Dave quickly and often in person if i call early in the morning. Not all workers can speak fluent English but they manage to understand my requests on sight in spite of that. I would not suggest them for technical arborist work but anything else I have no hesitancy to recommend them highly. Almost any yard and exterior work is of interest to ALLCare. I read the complaint about Dave not being flexible because he doesn't plow snow. Yes, its true, he doesn't have a plow but lots of other service providers do and I suggest Silver Spray Garage in Mequon.

THE CREW IS VERY RELIABLE AND HARD-WORKING. THEY RETURN CALLS PROMPTLY AND COME WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL. LAWN CARE AND BRUSH CLEARING IS SUPERB. THE CREW IS POLITE AND WILLING TO TAKE SUGGESTIONS. THE BUSINESS OWNER IS ACCESSIBLE AND COURTEOUS.

WE ORIGINALLY SPOKE WITH ALLCARE ON A SATURDAY, RECEIVED A PRICE QUOTE AND WERE TOLD THAT THE FOREMAN WOULD BE OUT THE COMING WEEK TO DO THE WORK. WHEN NO ONE SHOWED UP AFTER 10 DAYS, WE CALLED AGAIN. IT TOOK ANOTHER 2 DAYS FOR SOMEONE TO GET BACK TO US, THEN ANOTHER FEW DAYS FOR SOMEONE TO ACTUALLY COME OUT. WHEN THE WORKER CAME OUT, HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THE PRICE WE WERE QUOTED. HE DID THE JOB FAST AND WAS EFFICIENT AND CLEAN, BUT THERE WAS SUCH A LACK OF COMMUNICATION IT WAS FRUSTRATING.

WE HAVE ALSO USED THEM FOR TREE & SHRUB REMOVAL AND SPRING AND FALL YARD CLEAN UP. THE TREE THEY REMOVED WAS A 150 FOOT WILLOW. WE PAY ON A MONTHLY BASIS AT ABOUT $40 PER WEEK FOR LAWN CARE. OTHER WORK IS CHARGED BY THE HOUR. THEY ARE ALSO WILLING TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE PER THE JOB RATHER THAN BY THE HOUR TOO.
