Al's Tree & Stump Removal Service

He showed up on time with a helper. I asked for advice on preparing the ground properly for future planting. He was most helpful in determining the radius to be ground since the tree was an old pine with a wide root spread. It was a difficult location to work in because equipment access was not easy. All the problems were solved and the work was done on time at no extra cost. We're very pleased.

Al called back within 1 day, came the same day to check it out. Came for work when he said he would, did the job just fine. Very straightforward.

I called Al's in the evening, and left a message . He returned the call the next day, and was able to do the job the same day. That sounded great to me, as I had been waiting three weeks for someone else to do the job. He got the job done when he said he would, and did a great, and at a better price than the other guy was going to do it for. Couldn't ask for anything more than that.

He was fine. It took a little longer to get through to him; however, he did come and do the job. The one thing was that he did not pick away the chips, and we had to pick it up. It took us a lot of time to do that. The next time we have to get this job done we would consider somebody who can pick the chips. Apart from that he was fine. He was very reasonable.

We had a large tree removed from our front yard, by Steve's tree service who quoted stump removal at $200, but referred the stump removal to Al's Tree and Stump removal. Al and his wife worked with me in coordinating a convientent time to get the work accomplished and showed up in a timely manner. The stump was from a 35 year silver maple tree that had roots spreading out all over the front yard and was on a raised mound in the yard. Al and his wife worked for 3.5 hours in grinding the stump and roots away from the mound. I was very impressed by the way the machine ground up the roots and ground material. I had to leave before the job was completed, but left the check with my son. When the work was complete, my son paid them based on the quote I had gotten from Steve's who took the tree down. Al stated to my son that the quote price had been too low for the work he did, but did not pressure my son to pay more. Al said that he would take the matter up with Steve's who normally makes up the difference. The stump grindings were left behind, but they were mixed in with dirt from the grindings. Since I'm going to regrade, the spoils were not an issue. Overall, they worked very hard and did good work. I highly recommend them for future work, but maybe they should bid their own work to eliminate any potential pricing conflicts.

Stump was removed in the promised timeframe.

Used Al's before and was great as usual. Cleaned up well.

We were very pleased with the service. Al has been here before to remove stumps, and this time I had him take the trees down as well. Very reasonable cost for the work performed.
