Our standard labor rate is $120.00 per hour, with a minimum charge of one hour. A $10.00 fuel surcharge will apply for each visit. All parts and materials used are subject to additional charges. Additional fees may apply for after-hours service. Please note that we do not subcontract any of our work. We proudly offer same-day service.

The work that was preformed was great. He did everything for us. He replaced the opener and realigned everything on the door. I could not have asked for more. He also let me know what he was doing and why. They also gave me 5% off because I was a return customer. This company does great work and can be trusted.

Very professional , friendly, honest and easy to get an appointment. They explained why the motor (1984) could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. Fair price for Liftmaster opener and labor. I'm very satisfied with the outcome and newer technology (eg. keyless entry). Would definitely use their services again.

I placed a call which was immediately answered by the son of this father-son service business. We arranged a time window for the same afternoon. He was on time and soon diagnosed the problem. I asked how old the current opener was and he was able to ascertain it was 14 years old. (I bought this house in August and suspected it was an older unit but it was working up until today.) I decided to have the entire unit replaced for a very reasonable price of $345. It took about 2 hours. Jim (the son) is very friendly and outgoing, which I enjoyed but if you are more reserved , just be prepared for his fun personality.

I was given the recommendation of this company by a coworker, who was also happy with them.Jim the technician was very nice and helpful. My garage door opener broke. He could have fixed it, but I opted for a new one (the old one was super noisy.) Very happy with how quick it went. This is a very nice family run company. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

The garage door at my rental property came off of the track and would not close. I called Advance on Sunday night to leave a message and was told by the out of office message that they open at 8:00 AM and would get back to me then. I received the call within minutes of 8:00 and was told that they could be out that day and would give me a two hour window, which they did very quickly. The Technician arrived on time and called me on his way there. The work was completed very quickly and the Technician showed me what was done. He added a bracket so that I do not have the issue again. Great work at a great price.

Advanced Overhead Door was really flexible and came out to our home to look at a door opener that wasn't functioning. The technician was really friendly and explained we didn't need a new opener, but instead cleaned and maintained our door and opener. It is working great. He was honest and explained that our opener is old, but may work for some time. They were easy to schedule and Mary was very friendly and accommodating. When my door opener is ready for replacement in the future, I'm calling Advanced Overhead Door. They were very friendly, knowledgeable and fairly priced. They also scheduled us for next day service and were able to work with my busy schedule.

They did come out and fix the door and replaced the motor. They came out later and they refused to take responsibility for the fact that they had come out and fixed the door that way. They did come out and fix it, but they claimed someone had done an awful job, and denied that it was them.

I called in the morning to request someone to look at my broken garage door. I was told that they would be available in the afternoon. I asked that they call me in advance so that I could leave work and meet them at the house. All went perfectly. Jim called to let me know he was on his way. He was very friendly and pleasant. He replaced both springs and lubricated all moving parts in a fairly short amount of time. He was very helpful. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

Called for service at noon and Mary returned the call shortly after. Jeff and Jim came the same day and informed me that the spring was broken and replaced it within an hour. I have had their company for service prior to joining Angie's List (new garage door opener) but wanted to submit this report let people know that they are personable, honest and really know what that are doing. I would not think twice on who to call for any repairs on my garage door.

Called Advance Overhead Door on 4/4/2011 at 3pm and talked to Mary about my broken garage door spring . She was friendly and upbeat . She put me on the next days schedule for 8:30 am. Jeff and Jim arrived as scheduled and replaced both springs on my garage door . Both of these men were also friendly and upbeat . They completed the job in short order and had everything back working in less then an hour. We had a good chat and a couple of laughs and they were on to their next call.

The Advance crew arrived at the scheduled time. They dismantled the old door and took it away. They installed the new door, reviewed it's operation with us and cleaned everything up. They were professional, efficient and courteous. We will continue to use this company for all service needs in the future.

I had two different techs come out, one to try to fix my exisiting system and another to install a new system. For both appointments I dealt with the receptionist who helped set up the appointments and who would contact me to confirm the techs were coming. My conversations with her were helpful and professional. I believe that the first tech could not fix my problem due to quirks of the existing system, not due to any issue on the tech's part. Both techs were also professional and the work was done quickly and cleanly. Door has been working well since. I would use this company again.

Called Advanced at 8:00 and they had me on their schedule the same day. They called to inform me they were running behind schedule, provided a new time, and asked permission to keep my appointment. The entire experience was very positive from the time that I called to set up the appointment to the end result. I received immediate callbacks and follow up calls in advance of the work being done (including a two hour time window for the work). The gentlemen who completed the work were professional, friendly and went beyond simply fixing the chain. They ensured that the door was properly balanced and also lubricated all the hinges. They worked quickly as well. Finally, I received a thank you card in the mail for my business. I would definitely recommend Advance Overhead Door to a friend looking for garage door servicing or installation.

Our springs on the garage door broke so we could not open it. Advance was at our home within 2 days of our phone call and replaced the springs and even coded an old remote of ours so we could use that one with the current opener. Very courteous and professional. We will go to Advance for all of our future garage door needs.

I called on Monday, the phone was answered by a very nice lady who set me up with a time on Tuesday. Jeff arrived promptly and met me at the offending door. He opened it, fixed the spring, and told me I needed new cables. He showed me that the door spring had been replaced 4 times previously (old structure), and told me I needed new cables. He put them in. He asked if I wanted the broken hinge on the door fixed. He did it. We were all set to go when I asked if he could do anything with a b** remote. He fixed the problem. He checked everything, had me use the remotes to see them operate, wrote up a very itemized receipt and was on his way, all in 30-45 minutes.

Jeff was very punctual and pleasant. Basically said our garage door was old and rotting and couldn't be leveled (due to wear and tear over the edges). Did fix the spring, tightened all of the nuts and bolts, lubed the moving parts, and adjusted the photo cells. My only real issue was with the cost. Said it cost 75/hr and he was there and gone in 45 minutes, though charged for the entire hour. Also charged $5 for fuel, which considering they are located about 10 min away, seemed pretty steep, and $5 for materials...though not sure what "materials" he used- except for maybe a bit of lube oil. I had just had plumbers (2 working together) that charged a total of 70/hr (for both, not for each) and did much more substantive work, so I guess I feel like the 75/hr for what he did was a bit steep.

It is disappointing to read that you were unsatisfied with the amount charged for service on June 25, 2009. Please allow me to further explain our charges. The hourly rate for a service technician is $75.00, with a one hour minimum. Several years ago, we added the minimum $5.00 fuel charge as an effective way to recoup some of the fuel cost, instead of raising our hourly labor rate. As part of proper maintenance of any garage door, we lubricate all moving parts and tighten all loose nuts and bolts. The customer is charged for the lubrication used, as well as any other parts needed. In most cases, $85.00 is our minimum charge. I hope this helps clarify how and why these charges were incurred. Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can further clarify anything for you. I have also updated our main company page on Angie’s List to clarify our charges."

Mary was able to send a tech out the day the I called - a wire had broken and my door was stuck down with the car in the garage. Whew !!! The door was very old and needed to be replaced, so they ordered a new door for me and replaced it - it looks and works great!

I called at 11:00 and they said he would arrive between 12 and 2 the same day. He was there by 12:30. Very friendly, p[rofessional. Got right to work and fixed the problem. It was awesome! It was more expensive then I thought it would be but it was the cost of the parts--$100 per spring. The labor was $75/hour just like they say on Craig's List.
