Aside from our affiliation with Ace Hardware, A. Fillinger, Inc. manufactures and sells millwork goods, as well as design and create custom cabinetry for your kitchen, bathroom, library, entertainment center, office, and more! Since 1938, we have based our custom cabinet creations on three principles: Self-Expression: your home should be a reflection of who you are, and we are here to materialize that self-expression. Craftsmanship: happiness with the everyday elements in your home is essential; our skills will accomplish projects to your satisfaction. Innovation: custom designs need innovation, and our designers use original thought to add character to your home. A. Fillinger, Inc. has a continued tradition of constructing fine custom cabinetry and millwork in South Eastern Wisconsin. For each client, we intuitively create a design that is elegant and distinct, fabricating cabinets that best reflect our clients' interests. We can also provide you with mouldings, doors (interior and exterior), windows, stairway systems, balusters, cutting boards, butcher block tops, and counter tops. Whatever it may be, A. Fillinger, Inc. is with you from conception to completion, ensuring your happiness with your home. In our millwork division, we can also sand (up to 48" wide material), rip, plane, per-hang doors, create knives for mouldings, make shelving units, create locker shelves, and repair broken windows and screens. A. Fillinger, Inc. is also an ACE Hardware store with over 25,000 products on hand to help you with whatever inquiries you may have. We have a large selection, including Pratt & Lambert, ACE, Zinsser, and Kilz paints and primers. We also have thirteen different quality stain products for interior and exterior uses. We have hundreds of different cabinet knobs with a plethora of designs from each brand. We can also obtain a variety of unique hardware items from around the world and have it here within days.

I contacted three contractors for my project. The contractor I selected recommended A. Fillinger. The design work started in October and we went through many revisions to be ready to start at the end of February. I reserved a spot in their production schedule even before we had finalized the plans. It was six weeks out at the time.
The cabinets were delivered on the scheduled date. The cabinet doors and drawer fronts were not included in the first delivery but that protected them from damage during the installation. They did arrive at a good point in the project.
The microwave cabinet had to be replaced. It exactly followed the specifications and both the range and microwave installation manuals. However, I felt the microwave was only 12-13 inches above gas burners and I felt that was not acceptable. Fillinger worked with me to reduce the price of the replacement. It was ready by the end of the project.
The general contractor (Dwelling Renovations) installed the cabinets.
I sometimes felt email responsiveness could be improved.
I would definitely consider them again.
