At first, we are satisfied with Robert's work, however, he asked us to write him a check to pain the full amount despite there are still work remaining undone. He promised that he would finish the work and gave us a receipt. We paid him in full amount.
Two months passed, he still did not finished the remaining work. No receipt. We tried to call him a few times and left him voicemail and text messages. No response. It is very frustrating. We feel being cheated.  This is very unprofessional.

For a contractor, Rob and his crew are very neat. They don't create havoc on a job site and they clean up after themselves. Rob is always polite, communicative and delivers on what he promises. His prices are very reasonable and I can always depend on him to follow through on any project that he starts. Should there be something that is missed the first time around (like a missing paint spot) or some item that needs additional attention, Rob comes back right away to make sure I am completely satisfied with his work.
I cannot wait for Rob to start refinishing my kitchen countertops and cabinets because then I have another project already planned ot for him!

The owner Robert Grabow came and gave me an estimate. Walked me through the steps briefly. Seem to know what he was talking about.  I decided to go with him because the price was good for the larger size window that I have been getting estimates on.  What was suppose to be a two day project turns into a week and a sloppy job done.
Day 1 - Robert and another guy dug the hole.
Day 2 - Starts to cut the hole in the foundation.  After a few hours his rental saw breaks. Goes to get it replaced/fixed and comes back the next day.
Day 3 - Same thing as day two. Cuts for a few hours and it breaks. I understand that there isn't much anyone can do with this problems.
Day 4-6 - He hires someone from Dubuque to come cut the the hole with their saw.  This is where problems start.  The person cutting the hole for some reason doesnt want to follow the lines drawn out (unkown until after they left). Through these days there were times where the hole in the wall wasn't even covered up at the end of the day.
Day 7 - Finished up, the well itself is fine.  The window and its seal are crooked. You can tell when you shut the window immediately.  The top latch does not latch easy and when you close it, it does not line up with the frame even.
Once he finished he basically took the money and ran.  Left the basement a mess. Left for me to sweep up. Left cans in the basement. Even left his dolley in my garage.  I call and leave an email about the unevenness.  He says no problem and will stop by in a few days.  Well a week goes by with not update and I call and text every day with no response or answer.  Finally, get a response and he stops out while I am at work. Puts two screws in for no reason and it still looks like crap.  That is where it stands for now.
Always seemed to know what he was talking about and professional but his work shows the complete opposite.  I would not recommend this guy to anybody for any sort of work.

"there are quite a few out and out lies in this review of me. first of all yes my rental saws broke and that was a situation out of my control. and yes i did hire a guy who said it would only take him a few hours to cut and he said he knew what he was doing and boy oh boy was he wrong i ended up kicking the guy off the job a fact that [member name removed] does not disclose. i only hired him because i couldnt get a saw in time to cut the hole and i needed to get it cut and not leave the home owner with a half done job until i could find the proper saw. yes he did a bad cut and i had to work with what i had. as far as leaving the hole open and not covered that is an out and out lie! i screwed plywood over the hole the first day because there was no chance of rain and that was sufficient the next day which was a sunday i had it completely tarped off and it rained like cats and dogs and no a drop of water entered his home. as far as me leaving a mess with cans which i have no idea what that is suppose to mean that is also not true i cleaned up just fine and i wish he would have told me i left my dolly there this is the first i have known of that. also when he contacted me with the issue i was in constant contact with him there may have been one day i didnt get back to him because i was so busy, but i did come out and fix the window, i had to move the lock down a little and now it functions perfectly, yes its a little crooked but, when i bid the job he told me to go as cheap as i could and as anyone knows cheap products are not the best products. its a cheap window as per his request but it works perfectly and serves the purpose that it was installed for. and after i came back and fixed he has not contacted me so i assumed everything was fine. i stand by my work a hundred percent and if [member name removed] would like to contact me and have me come look again i would be happy to do it. i think the rest of my reviews speak for themselves no one can make 100% of customers happy i do and always will stand by everything i do. i actually lost money on this project but i never tried to upcharge him or ask for more money i stand behind my price and my work"

This is the 2nd time I have used Raindance Remodeling for a home improvement project and it won't be the last!
Rob and his crew are great to work with. Very professional, very reasonable, very timely and they clean up after themselves better than any other contractors I have worked with. I have already referred them to friends and family members.
Can't wait to get started on my next project!

Ron was great to work with. He was very friendly and accommodating. He and his workers always cleaned up after themselves. His pricing was very reasonable. When sections for our fence were delivered, Ron was not impressed with the quality so he got them returned, ordered the necessary wood and together with his team built the fence from scratch! It looks great and we could not be happier. I can't wait to call on Ron and his crew for our next project.

I purchased a river house in early May. In order to insure it, I had to install a deck railing on my stairs going down to the river. I contacted several contractors, but Rob from Raindance was the only one who responded promptly and came out to quote the job. I met with him, and he said he could do it within a couple of weeks. He completed the job within the time he said he would and the quality is very good. I was impressed by his professionalism and ability to complete the work promptly.

Rob arrived promptly to a**** the work we discussed on the phone. I wanted a small uncomfortable bathroom remodled , tiled and changes made in bathroom fixtures. It took some creative and inovative ideas to
change this room from what it was to what it is now.The work was done in good time and I found Rob to be a very agreeable and pleasent man. He has grat ideas and does excellent work. I'm very pleased and will ask him again when I need work done. You should too!

This was an excellent experience for us. We are on a budget and Raindance was very willing to work with us by allowing us to do whatever work we could do ourselves. They jacked up the roof of the porch, removed all the old flooring and substructure and took it all to the dump, and cleaned up any mess.
We (home owners) went out and bought the fir tongue and groove flooring, which took a lot of time because 9 out of 10 boards we looked at were not usable, which meant we went to multiple stores. That alone saved us money since Raindance wasn’t spending their time doing that. By working with us and allowing us to do the painting, shop for the flooring, and whatever else we were able to do ourselves, we were able to save more money

Raindance installed the new substructure and the tongue and groove flooring, which we (home owners) later painted. They reinstalled the original railings that I scraped and painted. Rob with Raindance repaired our columns (instead of replacing them) and he custom made new bases for the columns, because the bases we wanted were not something we could order. His custom made bases are perfect, and very well made. Raindance also custom made the skirting to our specifications, to go around below the porch. We have a limestone foundation, so the skirting boards went flush up to the wall, and they added several nice touches, such as cut outs to go around the limestone bulges, and screws so we could remove the skirting easily if we need to get underneath.
Rob, the owner of Raindance Remodeling, was easy to work with and altogether was an enjoyable person to have around. The work was done in a timely manner. We are very happy with the quality of the work and the price we paid. Best of all, the front porch looks great.

Rob, owner came to my location, reviewed the situation, stated that I did not have a roof leak. We then discussed when in the future the roof could be re-tiled. Rob then left.

Rob was very punctual and finished ll work when he said he would. He was very clean and respected my home and family. I have used Rob for MANY projects since 2000 in our fromer home and now in this home that we have been in for 5 years now. He has done everything for us from Window installation, siding, gutters, built a deck and drywall repairs.

Its great to have a person you can trust and go to for all things :)

I wasn't very happy with them. He seemed to take kind of a cheap way to get things done. It took them a long time to finish up; it took months. He did okay on matching the siding. There was a piece of gable that was off and it took them half a year to return to finish that job. His ideas of what I wanted him to do and what he did were not the same. We didn't quite communicate; we weren't on the same page. I didn't get a lot of bids to compare prices. He did okay on the gutter work. They were punctual on everything except for the gable work.I wouldn't use them again.
Response from Raindance Remodeling
"I performed exactly what was contracted, and as the customer said I did a good job matching up siding with new aluminum siding, there is really NO cheap way to do that, I used all quality materials that I had to buy at the expensive local lumber yard because he did not want me to use menards because of the whole gov. Walker thing. I started and completed the job within one week so i am not sure why he said it took months, he paid me right away and even delivered a check to my house personally, so i am not sure why he would pay me if he was not satisfied. As far as the end gable piece is concerned that was a freebie that was not in contract, that I said I would get to when I had a chance, I needed a certain kind of coil stock and was waiting until I had some on hand since there was no charge for that. I am always here for my customers and I, never had any complaints from the customer I would have resolved any and all issues had he called, instead of writing a bad review."

Raindance had done our siding on our house and in talking with Rob he told us he does all kinds of remodelling. When we were ready to remodel our bathroom we asked him for a quote. We decided not to get any other quotes based on the quality of the work he had done on our siding and porch.
They did an awesome job in our bathroom, it is beautiful.
Rob is very patient, we changed our mind and second guessed ourselves a few different times before they started, he was very professional. He listened to our ideas and made the bathroom look like what we invisioned, even the dark purple walls. We had a custom built medicine cabinet, he was able to modify the medicine cabinet so that we could put a mirror in it. Then he took what he had cut out and fashioned the door for the towel storage access. He even added crown molding,a very nice touch. He communicated throughout the project with us.

We met with Rob and explained what we wanted done. He gave us a quote, we had gotten a couple other quotes and decided to go with Rob. He was very personable and we felt he was the best fit for us. They started the job on time and each evening they cleaned their materials. Rob and his crew were very professional and knowledgable. Finished in a timely manner. The house looks GREAT!!!! We can't wait to enjoy our screened in porch.

Robert is truly a man of his word. He arrived when he said he would and he did the work he said he would. Robert went above and beyond! Very professional. Very reliable. Our yard looked better after they cleaned up than before they came! No mess. No landscaping was disturbed. When we need anything else done - he's our man! Raindance will be our FIRST and only phone call in the future!

I needed a new roof, Rob had done some work for me previously, so I called him for an estimate. I was on the road at the time, and he came out and left it in my mailbox. His price was fair, he was able to start the work the following week and was done in two days. He also did some additional work while on site, and everything was flawless.

Rob has been a great contractor for me, I mentioned who I was using to someone else and they also had a great experience with him. When he left, he took all the trash with him, the site was clean and the men he had working with him were courteous and well mannered the entire time.

I will be call Rob again.

I needed some repairs on my front steps coming up to my house. I called Rob, he came out the same day, gave me the estimate that evening. I received two other estimates that were 60% higher than Rob. He showed up on time, was professional, curteous and knowledgeble. He answered questions as he worked and finished on time. We are very happy with the work he did and are planning to use him again in the near future.

I CALLED ROB, AND HE CAME TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE THE SAME DAY, HE WAS VERY PERSONABLE AND KNEW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT, HE WAS WITHIN A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS OF OTHER ESTIMATES I RECIEVED, SO I DECIDED TO GO WITH HIM, BEST DECISION I EVER MADE, HE AND HIS EMPLOYEES WERE COURTIOUS AND VERY EFFICIENT, THE JOB WAS DONE EARLIER THAN SCHEDULED AND TO MY SATIFACTION, I WOULD RECCOMEND THEM TO ANYONE I KNOW.
