Excellent - the work was done on time, on budget, and we had great communication from start to finish, no surprises. We would not hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to others.

Wes had rebuilt our chimney 20 years ago and done a very good job. The top flue tile had started to spall badly and needed to be replaced. The furnace flue was older than 20 years and had started to rust badly. Wes replaced the top fireplace flue tile, the top of the furnace flue and the chimney cap. Everything was done well. They finished early and for the agreed price.

Our house is relatively new, built in 1989. We are the 2nd owner. The chimney had been leaking for years (which turned out to be caused by a design flaw) For years I tried to get someone to fix it, and they always provided only superficial diagnostic maneuvers and/or patchwork solutions. Wes was the first person to actually get at the root of the problem! He had to make a hole in the chimney to view the inside (which showed us the degree of water damage) Then he took down the chimney. He hooked us up with a good carpenter to build a replacement chimney. (It had to be build of wood, because the design flaw mentioned above precluded rebuilding the chimney as masonry)

Wes began working within 2 weeks of having signed the contract. He and his crew were extremely thorough and professional. They arrived, set up scaffolding and protective plastic. The repair occurred in December in Wisconsin, just before Christmas, with a significant amount of snow on the roof. They completed the work in less than a week and provided additional value (matching the mortar via tuck-pointing the remaining existing chimney, etc.) while sticking to their original estimate. They were friendly, professional, and they did excellent work. I had previously received an estimate approximately $2000 higher from one company, and another company disputed that the chimney needed to be rebuilt and wanted to just tuck-point it (even though bricks were crumbling away). Wes did high-quality work at a reasonable price and did the work the way that it needed to be done.
