Middleton Art And Framing

Middleton Framing contacted me immediately when I purchased the deal through Angie's List, and were gracious when I finally came in, months later. The woman who waited on me let me take the lead in selecting the mat color and frame, understood what I was looking for and suggested various frame options including the one that is "perfect" for the picture and the place it will hang.

I don't think they gave me the framed I had selected as the frame I got has silver on it, which I wouldn't have ordered.  I didn't really realize it until I got it home.

They were very good but I wasn't expecting it to cost so much. I had hoped the $110 would cover more costs. I ended up paying $293, which with the $110 would have cost me $403! I realize it was partly due to the print which was not very tall but was long.

It just seem pricey to me. But in their defense when they completed the work I was less than satisfied with it as the picture was overwhelmed by the framing and matting. They did agree to change the matting without charge to me, which I thought was pretty nice. They probably would have let me change the framing if I wanted to, only paying for the cost of higher cost framing, but I stuck with the framing.

My experience was excellent. First time I had gone there and I went on the recommendation, someone had had a very positive experience and needed something quickly and they took care of it and that person was very happy, so I didn't need anything quickly but I was extremely pleased with the care that the person that I worked with took to explain things to me. I was very happy with that. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Before Christmas -when I was meeting someone nearby- I stopped in here on a whim. They also have a small selection of interesting art/photos on the walls that I believe are by local artists and rotate them periodically. The lady working there was very friendly and kind even though I didn't have the art with me at the time. I forgot I needed to get it framed until about a month from a planned event at our house. I went back in (this is months later) and the same awesome lady was working as well as Marty. We talked about what it looked like, what I was looking for, etc... We narrowed it down to two frames and they were super nice and allowed me to take the frame corners home to see how it would go with my colored walls. I live on the other side of town from this store so I was glad they allowed me to do this so I didn't have to make special trips all the way from my home to the store again and again.
I said when I would like it completed by and they had a bunch of other orders to get done before me so it would be a couple of weeks (I think three) but they said they would have it by the party. I dropped it off and they were complimentary about the art and made me feel like they would treat it well until I got it back. I became anxious as the party approached and spoke to Marty and he was nice enough to get it completed ahead of schedule. THAT WAS SO NICE!!! I picked it up on my lunch break and could not wait to get it home and hang it on our walls. When I picked it up Marty commented on the piece again and I felt like they had taken good care of it while they were working on it. We received several compliments from people who saw it during the party.
I was quite happy that I tried this frame shop-they did a nice job. Next time I need something framed I will definitely go here.
