One day, when our water from the faucet suddenly turned black, we gave Arthur a call, since they had installed a new pump for us over twenty years ago. He could not have been more helpful, and his advice helped fix the problem. He even made a special trip to the house to check up on it. It turned out, a few days later, that the initial problem was a symptom of a more severe issue, and we were without water.

Arthur and his workers were on the job almost immediately, gave us a fair estimate and we were up and running in only a few hours. It turned out that, due to the fact that a higher capacity pump was installed, some unexpected extra electrical work was needed. They took care of this immediately and without any additional charge! I really appreciated that Arthur honored his initial quote, even though the job turned out to be bigger than anticipated.

The gentleman was honest and explained the scope of the project thoroughly. He was knowledgeable, responded quickly to my calls, and completed the job in a timely manner.

Prior to initiating the project, I asked many questions about the tank and watering system in general. Mr. Libau answered each one appropriately, without hurry, and without any sign of irritation. His explanations were very scientifically based as well as being in a professional language which I could easily understand.

Once the owner (Arthur Liebau) had determined that the tank did indeed need replacement, he brought his assistant and they began work immediately of the system. Both were professionally dressed, were immaculately clean, and immediately without being asked.....placed drop clothes over all rugs (white) and flooring over which they had to walk and work. On the wooden floor used to cut piping and do some plumbing, they covered the area with large cardboards so that no debris fell onto the floor. They removed the tank without spilling one drop of water and found that the "bladder" of the tank was also ruptured.
A new tank was brought in and placed with new plumbing. However, due to the shape of the room, the plumbing was awkward and eventually would have been a problem in the future if the iron filter or water softener would require removal. Even though the project was completed, Arthur was not satisfied with the result. He then redid all of the copper plumbing which took several hours. He and his assistants worked over 6 hours on the entire project together ......to "get it right". And then he verified that I was completely happy with the result before cleaning up.
During the project I asked him to allow me to clean the area where the old tank had sat prior to the new one being placed...........and this is a FIRST for me............he reported that he would clean the area himself once the tank was out/removed..........and he did!!!!!!

We came home from work on Friday night (of course!) to discover we had no water pressure. We called Liebau Laun, who had installed the pump before we purchased the house. Arthur and his assistant arrived promptly on Saturday morning. They diagnosed the problem, installed a new well pump and motor, replaced a number of other items, chloritated our well, and sent out samples to the lab to check for any bacteria. We were impressed by their punctuality, and how HARD they worked on our well despite high heat and humidity. The entire job took them most of the day. Both Arthur and his assistant were very professional and personal, and took great care to keep their equipment from harming our landscaping. One of the things that most impressed us is that there was no additional charge for a Saturday call. The service call itself was $85, which was put toward the labor for the job. Apparently they only charge extra for Sundays and holidays. This is a great bonus for any consumer! We were very impressed, would hire them again, and highly recommend them to anyone.

We discovered that the well pump in my daughter's older home was circa 1974 Reda which had an internal PCB capacitor. Contacted the DNR and they advised taking it out. Probably a good idea since the pump had exceeded its nominal life as well as the PCB issue. Contacted several contractors and was surprised at the variation in pumps and motors that were offered. Arthur was the only contractor to come out and look at the installation. We talked about some research I had done on well pumps, and I asked that his quote reflect a Franklin motor and a stainless steel pump. He did quote the franklin pump motor SS combination at the same price as his normal unit. He then suggested we take a look at moving the unit to a 3 wire from a 2 wire (starting capacitor inside the motor) in order to eliminate one other failure point at the bottom of the well. He was the only one to suggest this and then came out to see if it could be done. He did find the wiring that would allow it to happen. It cost $150 more to do this and I found it to be a good idea from an engineering standpoint and agreed. The pump was replaced, water tested, backflushed, chlorinated, air pump balanced, new pressure switch, with great followup. We are very pleased and I thank Arthur for the great engineering at the site and patience. Arthur will tell you what he thinks so stand your ground if you think you have a good idea. This is an excellent company to deal with. Arthur Liebau came out on a Sunday afternoon and tried to repair my leaking tank. He was unable to because it was so rusted. He came back Monday morning, as we agreed, and his employee did the necessary repairs. All went as planned, and he cleaned up thoroughly when finished. He finished in the time estimated for the job.
