The work done went well except for one problem.  I specifically asked when making my first call to have the person inspecting the trees call me first so I could be there.  I really wanted to have direct contact and hear his explanations in person so that I could see exactly what he was talking about and ask any questions that came up.  First Choice had done some work for us in the spring and had examined our trees when we were not home and while everything went ok, I really felt that this time I wanted to be there in person.  I soon got a call from Jeff saying that he had been in the neighborhood so he looked at the trees.  He did offer to come out again, but I was disappointed that my request was not honored.  The Locust tree was treated on a timely basis.  I then attempted to call the office to pay the bill with a credit cared and had to leave a message.  I did not receive a call back.  It took 3 calls on 3 different days before I was able to reach a person to pay the bill.
The work that was done in the Spring included spraying a crab apple 3 times (83.03 each time) to prevent fungal attacks which did improve leaf size and density and the trunk injection to prevent Emerald Ash Borer for our Ash tree (177.62 for a 10" diameter tree).  As I said, this work went well and there were no problems to report.  The company has a good guarantee for the Ash tree protection.

We had a very large willow that had dry rot in the trunk. Therefore, it had become a hazard in that it could fall in a wind storm and needed to be removed. We got prices from four area landscape/tree removal services, and First Choice provided the best pricing and included all the services we requested. The only issue was we had to wait a month before they could do the work as their schedule was booked out.

The team that removed the willow were very professional, skilled and polite. The willow was right on the lot line, and so a significant part of hung over our neighbor's yard and a number of his recently planted small trees. I fully expected that at least one or two of the neighbors trees might be damaged such that I would have to replace them (my neighbor is pretty understanding and was happy to see the willow go). However, that wasn't necessary as the First Choice team was able to completely avoid my neighbors trees through careful use of ropes and leverage. It was amazing to see. Once the tree was down, they efficiently ground the stump down 18 inches below ground level, filled the hole with dirt, leveled the dirt and covered the dirt with grass seed. They hand carted everything out, so there was no damage to the yard from equipment, and they raked and cleaned up the work area. When they were done, it was almost like the tree had never been there.

I highly recommend First Choice Tree Care and would certainly use them again in the future.

Ken was pleasant to work with and is a knowledgable arborist.  Was patient with all my questions.  Really cares about the work his staff performs.  All the trees after the pruning are very neat and trim.  Far exceeded my expectations.

I had seen this Co. working down the road from me and wondered how their pricing was. I had them quote and respond to the work. They responded and followed up very efficiently to the chore.

We spent about $250. They were reasonably priced and that was a big factor. They were efficient and incredibly fast. They were in and out before we knew it; in about half an hour. They hauled everything away and cleaned everything up for us. There wasn’t even a leaf left. They took everything. We will use this company again in the future.

The arborist came out to quote us on the work we wanted done. We thought we need more trees taken down, but he didn't (a huge plus in our book because a couple other places we had give us quotes were just looking for money). Since the quotes were itemized by each tree, we were able to compare several quotes "apples to apples". First Choice was over $600 cheaper than the next nearest quote. The guys that did the work were great. They worked quickly and safely. No damage to a fence that was within 6-10' of the tree that came down. Minus some divots from large branches fell, which I was expecting, there was no damage anywhere. Good work!

We delayed the start of the project because we were not sure we were going to go through with it. We decided to go ahead at about the time the company was getting busy with spring spraying so it was further delayed. I was told we would be scheduled in the next few weeks and when no one called I called them. The work was scheduled several weeks after that. After the work was done, I had some concerns. A consultant was sent on a timely basis and he spent a significant amount of time looking over the work and explaining it to my satisfaction. He was very knowledgeable and spent some time giving me additional advice that was unrelated to the project which I greatly appreciated. My only complaint is that there was one pile of debris that was not cleaned up, and later a branch that was not fully cut fell came down which the consultant removed for me.

This is the first time I used Alpine. I found Jim very easy to get ahold of and I was pleased with his work. I had called several other tree services who did not return my calls. I will keep their phone number for the future.

These guys are very professional. Great follow-up communication after initial phone call. They were punctual, cleaned-up after themselves and did a great job. As you can imagine, with this type of reputation they are very busy so schedule them early (they gave me an estimate in mid-October and did the work in mid-December).
