East Towne Veterinary Clinic has been serving Mequon and the surrounding communities since 1984. Our veterinarians have established a reputation for high quality medicine, compassionate care, and forming a lasting bond with our patients, clients, and the community. In addition to providing excellent veterinary care and pet dentistry we also provide, boarding and grooming services. We provide care to dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, birds, and other small pocket pets. Stop in sometime for a tour of our facility. Hope you see you soon!

Our dogs are older, 11 and 13, and require special care. One is diabetic. Our vet always keeps an eye on both dogs even when being groomed to make sure they are feeling their best! If something doesn't look right, they check it out right away.

The staff make our pets feel welcome. We were given good ideas for better health care for our pets.
All four of our pets like Dr. Tunder. He takes the time to get to know them so that they are more relaxed during their checkups.

Dr. Tunder and all the staff care about my pets. They take time with me rather than hurrying appointments. When I go in to purchase food they ask about how the cats are doing. When the cats were little they even let me bring them in to visit when they didn't have an appointment so they wouldn't be afraid when they did have one.

I was supposed to meet the vet at 8am. At 8:15 a technician comes in to tell me the vet is late. The technician shows me the treatment and price plan that quotes just under $650. I sign the plan and leave my cat with the tech. I then get a call several hours later to tell me that my cat needs 3 more teeth pulled. When I picked up my cat the bill was over $1000. According to the pricing sheet each additional tooth was $75. How does the price go from $650 to over $1000 with that math? I thought $650 was too much when I have paid $300-$400 for similar services in the recent past at other clinics, but $1000 seems obscene to me. It is one thing to make a profit and run a good business, it is another to be greedy. This clinic seems greedy to me. I will not be returning.

I have been with East Towne Veterinary Clinic for 15 years. Always professional, very nice staff who have been there forever. Dr Tunder and Dr Kelly are wonderful. I recommend highly.

Vet himself was SUPER! His priority from entering the room, was to make KoKo feel less stressed. She does not take kindly to strangers, but she certainly loved HIM! Everyone seemed to want to please her and us anyway they could!

The visit went very well. We were greeted warmly. Then we were ushered into a clean, fresh-smelling patient room to wait for Dr. Tunder. He appeared shortly thereafter and spent 45 minutes with us, examining our puppy, then going over how we should proceed from this point.

Kelsa is absolutely wonderful with our dog. Patient, kind and willing to make recommendations to make it a better experience overall for me and for the dog (how to use the treats appropriately, touching her paws when she's not getting her nails done, etc). Kesla is an obvious animal lover and her knowledge of dog behavior and her own personal experience truly make her a find for grooming. Our dog actually looks forward to seeing Kelsa and willingly goes into the building.

I am heartbroken with the service received for our elderly cat. They should have known from symptoms that she had high blood pressure yet never checked the blood pressure until we asked them to. At that point it was too late to save our cat. They looked in her eyes and could not see that she had detached retinas, a symptom of high blood pressure, but we knew she was mostly blind by this point yet they insisted she was just an elderly cat. She eventually had a stroke or something similar causing us to put her down. We would never use this vet clinic again nor recommend this clinic to anyone.

She loves it there. They answer all her questions. My daughter and son-in-law are brand new parents. Whenever they call with the question, they get the answer right away. They make time and stay a little late, so they can get their up to see the vet. They are very nice. They treat the dog well. The dog doesn't mind going there.

It's been fine. It's great, we use them now for our dog. They are our regular vet now. We have a big dog and they handle big dogs well, that's a good thing. They are not intimidated by large dogs. I would say they are great and I would highly recommend them.

We have been going to this vet for the past 2 years and have found the vets to be fantastic - very caring & professional & our dog is always very happy. However, their office staff isn't as great & their rates are much more expensive than what we had been paying when we lived in St. Francis, WI. At our last appointment, the office staff asked my husband if I would be calling to complain about the rates as they had received a lot of complaints lately - didn't seem like an appropriate comment. Also, we order our meds through PetMeds and the staff said that they would not contact PetMeds to give them the prescription, but that they would give PetMeds the prescription if I called PetMeds and had them call the vet. Not a big deal, but not really over the top customer service. Also, we asked for just a basic annual exam, but there are a couple of services on our invoice that appear to be extras that we didn't request (Add-On Urinalysis for $48, Chem 11, CBC for $90, & Add-On Urinalysys $32). I would have preferred if they had asked us upfront if we wanted them to do any services other than the necessary vaccines.

Our #1 priority is patient care, and all our Veterinarians make recommendations for the care they feel is in the best interest of your pet. They are great and good with animals. They are very informative and very friendly. Price I don't know compared to others, this is my first animal, but it seems a little high. I would continue to take my puppy there.

It went well, they are very professional and very thorough. They are a little expensive for what I would prefer to pay for cat check up's and they are very adamant about having more services and checks (stool samples, diets, etc) than is necessary for house pets. I think they truly care about the animals and are very friendly.

We have brought two cats recently to East Towne after adoption from the Humane Society. They accepted the certificate for the free checkup without problem, gave a thorough examination, and answered all our questions. Products such as for heartworm were discussed but not pushed. We were very happy with the care provided at East Towne.
