Windows look great! Working with Jamie Shay was a great experience. He was very thorough in explaining the windows and helping with finance info. Installers were very efficient & and did some extra caulking we asked for. They cleaned up really well after they were done. We were very satisfied:)

Was told that production times at the warehouse had slowed down due to COVID so it took 2-3 months for my custom made windows to be ready for installation. Received a call from the company once they were ready for installation and got a time scheduled for install within a week from their call. Installation took less than 6 hours and the crew (4 guys) appeared professional and respectful. They also cleaned up well after the installation. My new windows appear to be good quality and look to be installed correctly. Very happy so far, I hope the windows last for many years to come :)

Was promised my new windows would be installed in late July or early August. Then the ETA for windows was changed to August 25th. It is now September 30th and no one can tell me where or when I will get my windows. Calls are no longer returned. I do have a deposit paid on the windows but no one is willing to return the deposit so I can get another window company to get me much needed new Windows.

Very difficult to meet the standards of the schedulers personal criteria for services, Too many repetitive and irrelevant questions. I was called (3) times asked the same questions. Too may Personal Presuppositions prompted my decision to move on. Suggestion: Business may consider seeking Personal Development Skills from WASCO Windows.

DO NOT GO WITH THEM....You will regret it.

Quoted a price of $5530 & gave them a $1000 deposit in Nov 2016. Was told it would take 8-12 weeks. Windows still haven't come in (May 2017). Over 6 months of phone calls & emails have been met with evasive or nonexistent responses. Have cancelled my order and am attempting to get my deposit back. Do not use these people !

The job went great. I did have a problem with one of the windows. I reached out to the company and they stated that would come out but no one ever came. I happened to be riding by the office and decided to stop to find out that the company has abandoned the building. They left behind computers and windows but none was in site. There was a property manager on site that was changing the locks on the doors because the company had just left the building abandoned.

roof is already leaking, hasn't been 5 years, company refuses to fix it

17 Windows were done in February 2017 by a 6 member crew and were in and out in less than 6 hours. Quick, efficient and clean. The sliding glass door and bay window in April 2017 and an excellent job was done by Cliff and his crew. Also efficient and clean. Our Sales rep Karl did  a good job explaining what we would get and we are not disappointed. Great job Universal. 

my sales person was friendly and knowledgable about the different windows and explained the differences without pushing the more expensive ones. the two man crew was punctual, friendly, and neat. they finished installing 12 windows in two days in January

We were 100% satisfied! The hole process was great. From the Salesperson who answered all of our questions, and even some we had after he left. The windows are beautiful and so energy efficient. Our installers cleaned up after themselves and made sure we were 100% satisfied. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a quality product and a hassle free experience.

New gutters leaked from the get go. Not hung properly. Roof not installed correctly at all. Had rain and snow blowing into attic. After 2 years of trying to get these problems fixed, they finally sent someone to tear off the roof again and put a whole new one on for the second time. The gutters were also fixed at this time. My contract was with Universal and they subcontracted out to a substandard contractor. Universal did make it right in the end, but I feel 2 years of leaky gutters and roof was too long.

Could not have been happier with everyone at Universal Windows from the sales staff, office staff and installers. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable and offered valuable insight in different ideas on my windows and patio door. Excellent job done by all!

They were very good from the start in sitting down and working through the order, and good at getting back to me if I called or e-mailed with a question.  They were right there the morning they promised and did very good work.  The only lapse was forgetting to put my casing on the truck.  They went over to the hardware store to get some, but I'm not sure I have as nice of one as I would have otherwise.  Everything else was done very well and looks great.   It wasn't inexpensive, but I had other quotes and their price was not out-of-line.  My choice was based on the options they offered me in the door and windows.  I'm very happy with that they installed and their work.  Very professional all-around.

We had several windows replaced by Universal last year. The sales rep.
took time to completely describe all the features and options for the
windows. They were custom made in a timely manner and the installation
was quick and professional.
The new windows work wonderfully. Our bed is next to a window and
previously my husband (who happens to be folically challenged) sometimes
needed to wear a thin hat to bed. Our new windows keep all that cold
air at bay.
Since our experience was terrific, we called them recently to replace
some windows at a rental property that we own.

I used to work for this company. Just to clear the air, I did not get fired, I quit. I was the top salesman for over a year. The posts of many individuals here seem to be spot on. Yes, you will be lured in with a "free quote"; yes, they will use a promotion just to solidify interest. Those are ploys. 1st. from the moment the canvasser is at your door, the pressure will be high should you say no, unless it's a new person. In order to get the free quote both homeowners, or decision makers, must be present during the demonstration. This is done so that you can sign your life away after the 3 hour+ in home "consultation. The sales rep operates on this principle: what's in it for me, differentiate, trial close, that's where he will ask you something to the effect of "would you let me or anyone else do it any other way?" Price inject, here he will be overly inflating the cost of what one can expect for this kind of work, so as to scare you, make you think you are getting a good deal when he drops the price on you. Exclusivity: at this point he'll tell you how this company is the ONLY company who does things in this way. Reinforce: here he'll reinforce everything he went over. When time comes to show you the price he will show the biggest one first. After you express a slight heart attack he will let that sink in for a little bit then show another price. Mind you, the first one is the "one year quote." The second on is the "promotional discount." The third one is the today's price. This price, is the one that they will try to close you on. This is the price that you can negotiate, though they will never tell you. But, if you choose to go with this company, then that last price can be dropped so much further. Without doing the math I can tell you if you keep the salesman in your home and he's made numerous calls to his manager, or keeps going outside, even when he says he doesn't have the power to do something, he does. He can drop that price so far that not even the company will make a profit. All you have to do is get him to show you his price book locate your item and take 35% off that price. That is the farthest they will go. Their biggest competitor is whether tight and if you really want to save some money get universal to come in give you the quote, make sure you write down what the today's price is and what the very last price was before the rep walked out. Show that to whether tight and tell them you will go with them if they can beat that price. But, be prepared. No matter how nice the reps are, no matter the things the comment on in your home, no matter how punctual they were, these are all devices to get in to your pockets. They also teach reps where to have the homeowners sit. The worst place for the rep is where he is seated with one homeowner to his left and one to his right. He wants to be able to read both of you without you giving each other signals. Furthermore, they are trained to overcome all of your objections. Some of the more obvious ones are "I need to think about it." He'll no doubt respond, "what is there to think about?" Or someone may say "I don't go with the first company, " or "I want to get other quotes." I guarantee you, for those whom had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with these people have heard this "well, you like the product right?" You'll say yes. "Is it me? Did I do something? " you'll say, "no no you're great." He'll then say, "then it must be the price," or investment. "if it's the price, we can talk about that." The bottom line here is that this a horrible company, preying on the uninformed. I'm happy you for those of you whom look to sites like this before you spend your money. Do not be fooled by the "oh, we're A+ rated with the bbb." Lastly, I will say this, they do have good product. I would no doubt buy their windows and doors but I would never let them take my money the way they do other people's. Many of you have gotten ripped of, by myself when I worked there, and by the company. I apologize.
