Since its inception by co founders William Barr and Michael Strmac in 2002, Universal Windows Direct has lived by the philosophy of CANEI - "Constant and Never Ending Improvement". This philosophy holds true in all aspects of our business, from sales and marketing to installation and service and has catapulted UWD from a small, local home improvement company to one of the largest exterior remodeling companies in the country. Every one of our employees strives continuously to be the best in the business at what they do and provide our customers with only the highest levels of sales, service, and support. We think our company's history speaks to this goal and to the power of what we can accomplish by never settling. Universal Windows Direct of Milwaukee opened in 2020. Our products feature the exclusive UniShield brand and come with a transferable lifetime warranty on materials and labor. We are a fully licensed, bonded, and insured company and EPA Lead-Safe certified. In addition, a portion of every sale goes to support a growing list of local charities.

took time to completely describe all the features and options for the
windows. They were custom made in a timely manner and the installation
was quick and professional.
The new windows work wonderfully. Our bed is next to a window and
previously my husband (who happens to be folically challenged) sometimes
needed to wear a thin hat to bed. Our new windows keep all that cold
air at bay.
Since our experience was terrific, we called them recently to replace
some windows at a rental property that we own.
The production team was very good; they called to confirm details about the order and the staining done to match the chosen window frame was perfect.
The installation team was excellent. They were very polite and dependable. The workmanship was outstanding and cleanup was done each window was finished.
I would highly recommend this company!
I walked into to Universal Windows Direct show room and asked about their basement windows. I just left another Marvin window store and they told me they only handle block basement windows and didn't give me the time of day. I needed functional windows. To put my salt bags thru etc.. Well from the minute I walked in the door and explained my needs, Shawn Hegrman provided me with samples on the show room floor .Explained warranty and price. Since my windows were special order, I ordered right away. When my windows came in we worked out a time and day to install.
The installers Kenny and Cody arrived on time. Layed out tarps on my floor. Cleaned up every step of the way. I am one to watch all the installation and was amazed how proficient the two men were. They cut wood strips to fit window on the job. They caulked and sealed every window. They checked every window and explained how they operate. Made sure I was completely satisfied. I now have double pain energy efficient basement windows with screens, that are functional
.Virtually maintenance free. And I love them I would recommend this company and their product to everyone The service and caring are top notch. You don't find this anymore.Licensing
