He just showed up without giving a phone call.  Prior to that, we need some bulbs replaced in the lighting apparatus and we asked him if he would teach us how to do it and he didn’t do it, instead he charged about $50 for a bulb replacement.  We feel he is on the higher side.  We thought he was expensive when it came to replacing bulbs.  His communication is a little haphazard, he would show up without calling, and then last year all of a sudden the box was changed so we must have gone when he did that.  He wasn’t always the best as far as communication went.  He didn’t do bad work, the two issues were the communication and we felt his prices were way on the high side.  We would probably use him again simply because he has done the work before.

Maurice Lawn and Landscaping  did the work and they were friendly and efficient. They took care to preserve our existing plantings which was not easy because access was very difficult.  Roger supervised.  Time and heavy rains will tell if this solves the problem.   I appreciate this approach which is an honest attempt to fix the situation without excessive costs.

Roger is extremely professional.  However, he does not respond to telephone calls or emails in a timely fashion.  Roger originally told us that he would be out on July 15th to take up sod and put down 3/4-1" rock.  A week before, I called him to confirm and told him that I would be taking the day off so to be on sight during the work.  I didn't hear from him until after July 15th, after I had taken the day off.  He called a couple days later to schedule a start date the following week, which he missed by one day.He specified 3/4-1 inch rock for the yard.  However, in a random review of 3 12x12 areas, there is more small (1/4-1/2 inch rock) than there is 3/4-1 inch rock.  I called him about this issue.  In his response, he said he contacted the place where he bought the rock and they said that some smaller stones would get into the mix.  However, in this case, it appears that some larger stones got into the smaller stone mix.His polish does not match his delivery.

Roger and his guys were great to work with! Roger was on-sight the entire time telling me what was being done and what to expect. Roger even filled a few extra holes that we had in our yard. I will be hiring Roger's company again in the future when I need landscaping help! Thank you for a job well done, I am loving my remodeled basement!!

Roger was very helpful and easy to work with. His crew was efficient and worked quickly. They cleaned up after themselves and you couldn't tell they had been there. The grass they seeded has come in nicely and so far the drain tile has worked well. The bricks placed on end around the window wells look attractive and were a creative way to build up the grade to the top of the window well. After it was completed I became concerned that the drain tile put in under the sidewalk on the south side of the house was too close to my neighbor's property and that it would not meet city code. So Roger had his crew remove the drain tile the next day. He was understanding and did not charge extra for this. Overall my experience with Maurice's Landscaping was very good. I would readily use him again.

They were relatively high priced and did not have adequate follow up. They required three visits to get the job finished and it still isn't completely done. I used them two or three years ago and they were very good but this time they were highly inadequate. They did not provide a written plan so that the net effect was poor.

They did what they said they would do. They did it really quickly. We ran out of money because of a job situation so we had to stop.

Everything went extremely well. I came home from work and to my surprise everything was done. They had even raked some of the leaves on one side of the front into the gutter. Everything was hauled away and they cleaned up very nicely.

Spring of 2008 was very wet and we experienced severe backyard flooding and water problems in our basement for the first time in 14 years. We called several landscaping professionals asking for their ideas (and quotations) on keeping water away from our home. Roger Maurice of Maurice's Lawn & Landscape provided the most impressive and permanent solution at a cost that was affordable. Roger was very attentive to our needs, he was very professional and explained things well as to why his system would work the best. He came to our home a couple of times just during the quotation process to help both my husband and I understand his proposal. His crew was also very courteous, neat and professional, and they did the job quickly. Roger returned to our home to inspect the work before accepting payment, and when he noticed that the crew had failed to build up the soil to an acceptable level on the North side of our home, he sent his crew out again to correct the problem. During the job, the crew was unable to replace two window wells that was part of the original quote, and in honesty, Roger reduced the final costs accordingly. Maurice's Lawn and Landscaping provides an outstanding service at an impressive price. I will be hiring them again in Spring 2009 to install plantings and decorative lighting.

He was very knowledgeable about plants that would provide privacy as well as aesthetic value. He also knew which plants would not attract animals. We plan on using him in the future and would recommend him to others. The crew was very conscious of children playing and very professional, respectful, and safe.

They had put in a drainage system. Then we had significant amounts of rain that caused flooding and the system failed. Roger and I mis-communicated and he realized that what was done was not adequate for our needs. They came back out and he worked diligently to correct the problem. He was very reasonable and accountable regarding the issue. He took responsibility and kept at it until it was right.

Very professional. Has a background in landscaping so the final result enhanced the landscaping in my property. Was open to our ideas and came back a number of times to be sure that the results were satisfactory.
