Jim came to my home to give an estimate for corrections after another contractor unfortunately did a very poor job. His feedback was extremely helpful. He pointed out A problem with how the patio concrete was poured - touching my furnace vent pipes and educated me about how that would be a problem with our freezing climate. This was a problem thatI had not even anticipated. Then, unbelievably and mercifully, Jim offered to come back to correct this for me. He came back to my home a week later and took the time to cut out the offending concrete piece so that it no longer touched my pipes in addition to making some aesthetic enhancements to another poorly poured piece around my air conditioner. All of this on his own time and at no cost to me!!!! What an unbelievable contractor. I cannot say anything more positively about this man. Thank you Jim - you are a stand out in a field that unfortunately has it's share of shysters as I found out the hard way.

Gave an endless series of excuses, such as the dog ate his lunch, for an endless series of delays in completing the work .Added so much water to the cement that the cement MFG would not warranty the cement. Splashed cement on the unprotected home siding. Made frequent misrepresentations and fabrications. For example, he said that he would furnish 5 inch instead of 4 inch at no additional cost. In actuality it was lucky if it measured 4 inches. He asked to be paid an exorbitant fee to correct alleged mistakes that "he" made in calculating the contract. He did not complete all of the work.
Description of Work: remove an existing 11x10 patio constructed 11x10 and 24x14 patios. 24x14 patio with 4 pergola footings assembled a pergola

Response from City Wide Concrete Contractors
Everything posted by [member name removed] is a total distortion of the truth and or totally fabricated! We're are not going to lower ourselves to the level of the plaintiff and engage in "mudslinging" - we will rest on our laurels. All of you who graciously took the time to post, and or read these comments for possible future work, we thank you all! In our defense, however, I will say that we have been paid in full for every job we have done, inclusive of commercial and industrial, since the inception of City Wide Concrete Contractors, which was May of 1976...except, of course, for [member name removed], who "shorted" us $1,500. Moreover, this is sad, as we gave him many uncharged extras inclusive of but not limited to a decorative patio finish, large in size, and thicker concrete slabs. In closing, if one perceives something to be true, in their mind, as in this case, it is! In our defense, once again, I hope you all realize that there are insane people "out there", that sometimes need concrete work done. In this case, I was the "chosen one" - and "took one for the team". Thank you to all whom have read this - May God Bless - Jim

They are really great at what they do. Very professional results. After they did my driveway, the neighbors were so impressed, they hired him also. Thinking of doing a stamped concrete patio now.
CITY WIDE CONCRETE CONTRACTORS was very reasonable. Their original estimate was higher but he lowered his price after he realized how profitable he could be.
Description of Work: CITY WIDE CONCRETE CONTRACTORS came over and paved my driveway. They removed my asphalt as well.

DUE TO THE PREVIOUS CONTRACTOR DOING SUCH A POOR JOB, CITY WIDE SPENT ADDITIONAL TIME AND VISITS TO EXPLAIN AND ASSURE ME HOW THEY WERE GOING TO CORRECT THE PROBLEMS OF THE PREVIOUS CONTRACTOR.
Description of Work: AFTER THE PREVIOUS CONTRACTOR PUT IN A DRIVEWAY AND PATIO THAT CAUSED BASEMENT FLOODING, CITY WIDE REMOVED ALL OF THE OLD CONCRETE AND PITCHED THE NEW CONCRETE TO DRAIN PROPERLY. IN ADDITION, CITY WIDE FIXED THE DRAINAGE AROUND 3 WINDOW WELLS AS WELL AS FIXING THE RETAINING WALL FOR A BASEMENT STAIRWAY. FINALLY, THEY CORRECTED A PROBLEM WITH THE CORNER OF THE GARAGE WHERE THE CONCRETE HAD CRACKED AND WAS SINKING.
