Dave Schmidt knows his business and did an excellent job.
Previous contractor, NuVision Window Film, had installed all 18 windows with 3M film but refused to honor a clearly stated 3M warranty against blow out by claiming it was caused by penetration from the outside.

Dave arrived when he said he would....did a good job!!!

Arrived on time, Cleaned up after the job. Polite and courteous.

Our new house has a significant eastern exposure, and the morning sun really heats things up, as well as bathing furniture and rugs in a few rooms with damaging sunlight. I got Ace's number from Angie's List and left a message. They responded promptly and we set up an appt. to measure the windows. Dave, the owner, was punctual and professional. He explained the differences among the various films, showed us samples. My wife is an interior designer and was familiar with some of the products that Dave recommended. He measured and left us with an estimate to consider. We thought the price was fair and scheduled the work. Again, Dave was punctual and professional. The work was done in one day, and we were totally pleased with the outcome. I was a bit wary of window film, unsure of how it would look, but it is totally unnoticeable, and I imagine that has everything to do with the quality of both the film and the installation. In brief, we were pleased and would use/recommend Ace (and Dave) in the future.

Dave/Ace Tinting was recommended by both the glass installer and a Realtor. Called Friday for an estimate, quoted $100 for in-stock patio tint, assuming tint wasn't special order. Appointment was set for Wed 8am to install. I told Dave I had a sample tint that he needed to match, I could drop it by his business on Mon to save time in case it needed to be special-ordered. Dropped it off Mon night. Wed at 8:20am Dave calls to say he's running late. I ask if he had looked at the sample. He said he was looking at it just then and it needed to be special-ordered (I wouldn't have bothered driving all the way out to Men Falls Mon night had I known he wouldn't even take a look at it until Wed am). He special-ordered it on Wed and said it'd be installed early the following week as soon as he received it. I followed up Monday as I hadn't heard anything, he called back 30 minutes later and said it had just been dropped off. Appointment set for Tue 8:30am, installed in 15 minutes. Quality work.
