Description of Work: We were looking for large tree to block view of neighbors home and to replace large elm that had to be cut down. Called Trees on Wheels and went to look at trees they had. It was a unique experience and very informative. We selected a tree and they delivered it the following day. Planting the tree proved difficult as we live in a wooded area so there were many tree roots to contend with not to mention the planting was on a hill. However, the tree was planted, we were given instructions regarding watering and feeding which we followed to the letter and now 2 years later have a beautiful Black Hills Spruce. We will definitely use them again as they have beautiful, large trees available and also are knowledgeable in recommending the proper type of tree for your situation.

 + -1 moreJohn did not show up for 8 scheduled appointments, did not call for 7 of them to let us know he wasn't coming making us wait and wonder what was going on. His reasons were ridiculous & when we'd catch up with him, he'd behave like we were pests. The two times he came he gave us 1/2 hour and 10 minute notices. The tree is not planted deep enough, large roots exposed and the hole not filled in. There are large gashes, mud, rocks and oil in our yard. They also made a mess in our neighbors yard (I'll charm him," said nephew.) One of the old trees had a fungus that could infect other trees which laid in our yard for weeks. We had to cut up most of the trees and haul them away ourselves. We canceled our verbal contract with him after 8th no-show. He asked if we were going to pay for the partially planted tree. I said I didn't think we owed him anything (we had to pay someone else nearly $300 to clean up his mess.) His last words were , "I'll see you in court." He hung up on me.
Description of Work: Matt (John's nephew) cut down two trees, that were being replaced, with a hand saw. John & Matt did a partial install of one new tree. Matt attempted to dig for second tree, had difficulty, so called John who said he was taking a power nap. Also, I asked if 2nd tree could be centered. To do so, healthy dogwood bush would need to be cut out. Matt said no problem. When he positioned digger, he thought he was too close to marked lines, called John and learned he had to be 18" away. John represented Matt as knowledgeable - we lost healthy bush due to employee not knowing what he was doing. Matt left to get lunch, said he & John would be back in an hour. They never returned. John returned on another date. Threw 4 five-gallon buckets of dirt on top of first tree, said he would return with 4 more buckets at another time, hauled away some of the old trees. Never returned. Another company says the tree may not make it: not planted deep enough, roots exposed, etc. Much more.....
