Acker Home Inspections

It went really well! Brad encouraged us to be present for the inspection. My husband, Dan, was present and Brad went over everything with him. Dan was able to ask questions and see exactly what Brad was referring to. After the inspection was completed he sent a report with numerous photos pointing out exactly what we wanted us to see. It was a great inspection and we really appreciate the effort and honesty.

WOW, I called him on Thursday afternoon----and he answered his own cell phone----which I like. I explained the problem and he squeezed us in between other clients and was over here between 10 and 10:30 on Friday morning, just like he said he would be. He did a wonderful job with his moisture meter and is very knowledgeable. There was no moisture coming thru to the inside yet, which means the soft spots on roof above the shower could be from a roof problem or maybe a leak in the pipes from the exhaust fan. We would call him again if we needed him

Our realtor highly recommended Brad Acker, CHI, to conduct an inspection of the house we are in the process of buying. Brad was punctual, thorough and, most importantly, he took the time to show us where everything is and how everything works. There was no rush. He seemed to be as interested in the house, from a professional point of view, as we are. The process of having a house inspection can be complicated. Brad made it an enjoyable experience. His report is a model of completeness and is easy to understand. Brad takes pictures of everything and the photos are in his report. This guy is the best.

We were very pleased by the time spent on the inspection and the clarity of Mr. Acker's remarks. Mr. Acker arrived an hour before we did, and left some time after we did (to set up a radon test in the basement). He photographed everything he could find that needed remediation, sending us photographs and verbal descriptions afterwards in a convenient PDF. He showed us where all the shutoffs were (water, electric, gas), answered all our questions immediately and gladly, and left us with a small but handy fixit handbook. We couldn't have asked for better.
