Excellent! Project started and ended on time. My new flooring looks amazing! I love my new exterior doors too. The only item left to do is install a barn door for a bedroom closet. This door was a custom order and for whatever reason, was delayed. It will be here the first week of December. I feel confident that when this door arrives, they'll be here ASAP to get this installed. I'm very happy with the level of customer service provided by Dave - he's quick to return phone calls/text messages and is eager to help. We have other projects to do and we'll hire D&D again.

Extremely well. After almost making a bad mistake by hiring another contractor who constantly left me hanging and actually suggested to just put another piece of drywall over the old ceiling as a cosmetic fix, Dave was very professional. He suggested we take the old ceiling completely down and see what was hiding in the ceiling. We were able to address issues that were found like plumbing issues from 1980's upstairs bathroom remodel, knob and tube electrical wiring, 4 cracked floor joists and a sagging support beam where a wall had been removed in the original remodeling. Working with him on issues that came up was very stress free. He had reasons, answers and solutions. Each decision made was with sound advice. He was not out to "inflate" the bill but to solve the issue at hand. Very through with each part of the project. Every floor joists was supported with a support beam that ran the entire length of the original beam, not just the 4 cracked ones. The 2nd floor flooring never felt so solid when walking into bathroom. The support beam between kitchen and dinning room was restructured, strengthened and straightened. Adding the insulation incrased the temperature in the kitchen by 3-4 degrees (kitchen was always cooler than the other 3 rooms on the 1st floor). Dave was prompt on arrival times in the mornings and stayed in touch if there were scheduling/time changes. Put in a full day's work with no meal breaks. His knowledge of house construction is broad and very up to date. He keeps up to date by attending seminars. His drywalling technique is flawless. He is a perfectionist. Never left for the day without cleaning up the kitchen and outside area/garage (where saws were set up). I could even prepare meals when he was done cleaning! I have other projects needing to be done on my house. His rates were fair and in line with other contractors. Will I hire D&D construction again? Without a doubt!!

We needed 2 windows (that we had purchased on our own) installed in our bedroom. Dave (the owner) was recommended to me by a relative. He stopped by to check out the job, gave us a rough estimate and told me he could probably do it the following week. I touched base with him at the end of the week to confirm. He texted me when he'd be arriving and was on time. The widows were installed. One of the windows were damaged and Dave contacted the vendor we purchased them from to get a replacement. When he was finishing this job, he had noticed that the bedroom door "stuck" when it opened / closed. He made some quick adjustments to it and now it opens / closes without sticking. Bonus!! Last year, we had some recessed lighting installed and was told that we needed additional insulation added to our attic. I decided to ask Dave if he wanted to add some insulation to our attic. He said that he could do this for us at the beginning of next week and he'd text me to confirm a time. He texted me the night before to confirm the time and that he'd have access to our garage to get into the attic. He arrived on time. He installed enough insulation to reach "R" 49 "R" value. (Not exactly sure what this means but I think it's having enough inches of insulation in your attic). After he completed the insulation, he installed a junction box cover. (This cover has something to do with the recessed lights). We have other projects that we'll be doing over the next 12 months. We'll call Dave to do them. He is a professional who takes pride in his work.
