RaiseRite Concrete Lifting Inc

Concrete Driveways & Floors Installation, Concrete Flatwork - Repair & Resurface, Poured Concrete Wall Service,

About us

RaiseRite Concrete Lifting offers a cost-effective alternative to replacing settled concrete. We are a family owned company that serves Northeast Wisconsin and the Greater Milwaukee area, but will travel beyond the standard service area for larger projects. RaiseRite offers free estimates. Projects do not include trip or fuel charges, for projects that are outside RaiseRite's service area minimum charges may apply. Replacing concrete can cost twice as much as raising concrete if not more. Raising sunken concrete avoids having to bring in large equipment or remove debis. Concrete raising is also known as mudjacking because holes are drilled to pump mud under the slab and jack it back to it's original height.

I called to schedule an estimate and they came out about a week later. After not receiving the estimate after a few days I e-mailed them to check the status. The lady responded to my e-mail within 10 minutes. Turns out they spelled my e-mail wrong. Not surprising because this happens often since I made my e-mail my name and people often misspell my name. I received the estimate soon after. I was able to accept the estimate online, and they were out here two days later to fix the walkway.

They raised several 6' x 6' sections of our front walkway using polyurethane foam. Made sure everything was level and aligned before they left. Unfortunately, several days later, one section sank about 1/2 inch. They returned and fixed it and have had no problems since. The holes were placed into the existing pressed pattern so that they did not show. Only issue was getting a commitment as to when they were coming. They would say next week, but not show until they were called back. Overall, it was worth the hassle as I saved a potentially big expense of replacing our front walk.

I received a phone call about a month after the estimate. It had finally warmed up enough to do the pouring. On the scheduled day, the team showed up on time. The two men reviewed the contract with me and discussed what they were going to do. On the contract, I was given the choice between regular "mud" or the new and lighter polyurethane. I chose the poly. Even though the job took twice the estimate of the volume, I realized that the hole that was washed out used the sidewalk/driveway was larger than we all had known. When they finished, they cleaned up quite well and even told me where I could purchase some cement filler to replace the felt that was deteriorated between the sidewalk sections and the driveway sections. That was why my sidewalk section of the driveway was sinking in the first place. A few hours after they had left, we did notice a crack in the driveway slab above the pour site. This was mentioned as a possibility of the process but we were hoping that it would not happen. It was clearly stated in the contract that any cracks in existing concrete are not the responsibility of the slab jacking company. After all, you can't control the way that that much cement will react to a huge amount of pressure from underneath. That is just one of the risks that you take when you slab jack instead of a total cement replacement. It is now January and we have had no problems what so ever with that section of the driveway. It is really nice to be able to use the snow blower without hitting the raised section of the driveway. This winter, we no longer have a small ice lake on that section of the driveway. I would definitely use this service again if I saw the need.

They raised the concrete to match up, and they enclosed it and filled it in, so that it would be even. It wasn't a big job, but we were happy with their work.

We did the work from another location, and they were good about getting things done over the phone. We had a lot of estimates and they were the lowest.
