WALTER'S AMERICAN CARPETS

Everyone involved (the salesclerk, carpet installer and owner) are all extremely nice and professional and generally punctual. BUT this Mohalk carpet had really obvious flaws: each bedroom had a really light line that ran throudh the middle of the room and the living room had two of these light lines. This was an obvious error in manufacturing. I would also advise Todd the installer to go lighter on the epoxy glue because if you so happen to forget where the seams are, you will certainly feel the cord of glue under your feet each time you walk on the seam. Is it right to have 6 seams in 3 rooms/one hallway? That seams like alot. But my biggest dissapointment is this: after notifying Mr. Water about the flaws, he did come out right away and said he would try to have the errors corrected. This was NOT done. Todd the installer certainly did come back but all I can say is there are new seams in different places, all the light lines are still there except where the most noticable one was there is now a flaw but it is just not as noticable. I was not present in the house when this was done. Do: be around for any corrections and either don't let them leave until you are satisfied OR do not pay them until all corrections are made!!!! I can't take my eyes off of these flaws in the carpet. Such a shame, I spent so much money and I feel kind of sick about it. It's a shame too, because these people seem to want to do a good job. Don't pick Mohawk Berber Ambiance! And to avoid situations like mine: ask for alot of detail in exactly what and how they are going to change things to your satisfaction. EXACTLY what and where are they going to make the replacement.
