Doug was extremely thorough and thoughtfully answered all of our questions during the lead investigation and once we had the report. Would definitely recommend for residential lead testing.

he was very professional, arriving on time, with all the necessary equipment, the results were in an easy to read and understand format. All he does is test, but if you just want testing done he is very good.

It went well, the inspection was thorough, and the inspector was professional. They also were less expensive than some other companies I looked at, who seemed more tailored for companies rather than house.

Very informative and helpful. I was able to be there during testing, and he was able to let me know immediately where the lead problems were and how to remediate them.

I called Testudo to discuss my concerns about potential lead paint on my basement walls. The person on the phone was very helpful and listened to my concerns.  We were able (fortunately) to schedule same-day service.
He showed up promptly at the time we agreed on and immediately went to work on testing the walls of immediate concern.
Because we had time left in the hour allotted, we were able to test more rooms in my house and discover that despite the fact I have a 60+ year old house, I did not have lead paint on my walls.  It was such a relief to have instant results that are scientifically verifiable instead of relying on the lead test kits from the hardware store.
When I continue on with my household renovations, I won't have to worry about paying extra for lead-safe renovations because my interior walls do not contain any lead paint.
The money I spent with Testudo was well spent both in terms of peace of mind and future renovation costs. I wish I'd used their services when I purchased my house years ago!

After living in our house for a few years, we started noticing our paint chipping and flaking off. Since we have a toddler and suspected there was lead in the paint, we decided to hire a pro to take a look. And we're glad we did! Doug spent hours scanning every nook and cranny, even in areas we never thought to look. Along the way, he answered lots of questions and was generally great at easing my worries. Even after the service, he was extremely responsive to followup questions on the phone and email.
The provided report was very comprehensive, easy to read and included handy recommendations for what to do next for the areas that tested positive.
All in all, a great experience.

It went very well. They're like the superman of lead-testing. Very thorough and with x-ray vision (they do have a radioactive gun!) Afterwards they sent us a report in meticulous detail. I still asked follow up questions. They always seemed content to answer them. We hired them again to lead-test our water and our kitchen floor for asbestos. Samantha and Doug were a pleasure to have around and we have a lot of trust in their judgement and their methods. And they like our dog.

Samantha and Doug were very professional and personable. They worked quickly which was great because I went with an hourly rate option. I had planned on having some suspect materials tested for asbestos. I only learned on site from the listing agent that my realtor had directly misinformed me and that I couldn't test for asbestos because of the way the offer was set up. I was really bothered by this because my realtor had wrongly answered direct questions about this while we were writing the offer and I didn't want to be stuck paying for a huge asbestos abatement . Samantha and Doug were totally cool. When I was talking with Samantha she just asked me a couple of questions about distance from work, etc. and effortlessly made me think of the bigger picture with just a couple questions.

Samantha was very thorough, and also flexible when I wanted different surfaces tested in multiple places. She helped me understand what the test did and what the results meant, and I would definitely recommend her. She was also very responsive through email and over the phone with questions I had about the process.

Gave me an estimate; later came and checked for lead in old wood floor (it doesn't take long); all went as anticipated. Punctual, pleasant, professional. Excellent service.

This was a wonderful service and Samantha, the president of the company and the woman who did the testing, was incredible. She was very thorough and extremely helpful. She answered all our questions, even though, by doing so, she had quite a late day. I can't recommend her highly enough.
