"This man confronted me very rudely and condescendingly about my salt use. I simply told him that I have direct orders from my customer, who happens to be an 86 year old man. To apply enough salt to his property so that if there were to be freezing rain after the snow, he would be safe. I applied about 1/3 of a 50lb bag to his driveway, sidewalk and two entry ways, this is by no means "too much salt". I use a 5 gallon bucket to carry my salt but that does not mean I use the entire bucket. I understand his concerns but I am liable for the safety of my client. My client has every right to put as much salt down as he deems necessary for his safety. This man does not have the right to tell people how much salt they can and cant use on their own property. This man is not one of my clients but he is a neighbor of my client. I was nice enough to look after his property while he was on vacation for one week, even though my rout list was full."

To expect someone to come out the next day with less than 12 hours notice and not even putting forth the effort to make a phone call and set up an appointment... is unreasonable.
