The carpet was okay, I wasn’t too impressed by the install. They were kind of pricey. They’re higher end carpet, so I guess their prices are comparable. I didn’t like the way they installed it. They installed my carpet, but within a few months I can see the seams in-between the carpet, like the places where they pieced it together. Also, the vinyl flooring where it has an edge, instead of prying up that edge they just went over it. Last, but not least they installed it too far into my storage area doorway and I couldn’t close the door. When I called them about it they said it would cost $150 to fix it. They were punctual. They seemed okay, like when you spoke to them they seemed real nice and stuff. They didn’t really stand behind their product very well and they didn’t do a very good installation. They were professional enough, they just didn’t do a good job. When you called them they called you back, they were responsive. I’m not too happy with the way they installed it.

Excellent work putting in the tile at 45 degrees to main cabinetry and extending into a closet and under a built in refrigerator. The whole process including store selection, estimator visit, scheduling and installation went very smoothly. We've used Sergenian's for two other projects, one 4 years ago and the other 28 years ago. All 3 experiences were great. They were not the lowest bid but we had the most confidence in them and were not disappointed.

I have only recently become an active member of Angie's List and have been looking for recommendations for carpet sales and installation. I was surprised when I saw all the positive reviews of Sergenians, which sold us a laminate floor some years back. I don't remember exactly when we got the floor or how much we paid (so that information is approximate), but the thing I remember is that when the floor immediately began to show warping in the laminate, we were very dissatisfied. At first, it was just a tiny flaw that was hardly noticeable, but of course we didn't like it. Then another area started to look bad--like cheap shelf-paper that hadn't gone down smoothly. We called Sergenians and they sent a representative out to look at the floor. I pointed out the problems. He acknowledged that it didn't look good but said he couldn't help us. Not unless we were willing to pay a lot more for replacing the bad parts. He said the floor must have gotten wet. Even a drop of water--a little unnoticed slip from a water glass, a drip of coffee, the dog drooling--apparently causes damage to this floor. Even when it is wiped up promptly. What kind of laminate floor is that? Why would Sergenians even carry such a thing? Why would they sell it to unsuspecting customers? The Sergenians man essentially told us we'd been suckered and he seemed pretty happy about pulling one over on us. So, we've lived with this floor, ever vigilant about any little bit of moisture. A spill requires a mad dash for a towel and immediate, down-on-hands-and-knees attention to make sure not a trace of moisture remains. To walk into the room with damp shoes is a major offense in our house. We could never do business with Sergenians again, so, as I said, I have been surprised to see that other customers are treated with respect and fairness. Was our experience an exception to the rule? What did Sergenians have against us? Still, I suspect that there must be other dissatisfied Sergenians customers out there who, like us, have failed to speak up. I apologize to anyone whom I might have warned if I had taken to Angie's List or other social media back when this happened.

We recently purchased a 50 year old home with hardwood flooring throughout (stairs included). The oak floors were a yucky yellow-brown and there were stains in a few rooms. When I contacted Sergenians and mentioned that we wanted to have the floors redone before moving in, they did everything they could to fit us in between other jobs. Over a two week period they completed the work. The two employees were pleasant, hardworking and trustworthy. We entrusted them to lock up the empty house at the end of each day. Most days they were here alone. There were a few days where I was here painting where they were still not working in.
Brian the lead employee, mentioned to me that the floors were taking longer than usual to refinish because as they were sanding, the old stuff was coming up gummy. I felt bad for them since they had to do a whole house of this yucky stuff.
At first I wasn't convinced that they could refinish the floors without needing to remove the baseboards but I was wrong. Whatever sander they used, it got right up to the baseboards and every nook and cranny extremely well. I checked every closet because I couldn't believe how well they reached each and every corner. They caught every detail. The stains and minor gouges in the flooring were gone.
We went with a clear finish and I am so happy with the results. The floors brighten up each room. As you walk throughout the house, it no longer looks as old as it is.

Excellent--Sergenian's is one of the more expensive flooring stores in town, but their service and installation is excellent. Scott Wang was the salesperson and he's a true pro--gives you the information you need but also gives you the chance to digest it and make the decision on your own rather than trying to sell you on something. He always responded quickly to emails and phone messages. This job was part of a remodel of a house we were moving into--when it turned out my first choice of carpet was backordered at the mill he called right away with an alternate that was very similar and let me decide whether to go with my first choice and delay the project or switch to carpet B so the renovation could stay on schedule.
We weren't living in the house at the time of installation, so I don't have feedback about that process, but the flooring has been done almost 3 years now and looks great.

.They did an excellent job laying the new carpet and were very efficient , friendly, and were always professional doing their job.. After completing their work , they helped place the heavy furniture back to their previous position. We were very pleased with workmanship and would definitely call them again to do any floor covering work. We must also mention Carmen Knight who was their interior decorator who graciously helped us choose the carpet and did the paper work for the project and our insurance company. Every one that we dealt with were pleasant , accommodating and a joy to interact with regarding this project.

Very knowledgeable at store. When we got down to final choices they explained the differences in performance and how the seams would go with each choice. On day of job Installation team was on time and very professional. They walked my wife through the work and gave options on transition points etc. before moving ahead.

Sergenian's said that seams are inevitable. However, the seam is in the front of the room, not back of room. This is wool carpet with no pattern repeat. Sergenian's said that the color lot was gone and would not consider redoing part of it. The rational from Sergenian's was that doing the carpet this way was a monetary savings to us. Even our interior designer considered this job below acceptable standards; also, designer considered Sergenian's customer service and managing of this project very unprofessional.

"As a result of cooperation between the customer (Silver Leaf Interiors), the manufacturer (Masland Carpets), the homeowner ([member name removed]), and Sergenian's Floor Coverings, the carpet was replaced on November 6th, 2014. The homeowner was given the opportunity to approve the replacement material prior to its leaving the manufacturing facility. Once the specific material was approved (one production was rejected because the dye lot wasn't acceptable), enough additional material was ordered to eliminate the need for the seam which was objectionable. Sergenian's Floor Coverings appreciates the cooperation between all of the parties involved. This participation made it possible to replace the carpeting."

Excellent from start to finish -- worked with a great manager there to choose materials, didn't push anything in particular but spent a lot of time explaining durability and other aspects of different carpet and linoleum-like options. Installers came when scheduled and put materials in very expertly, including replacing base shoes and finishing them to match other woodwork. Would strongly recommend using Sergenian's.

The estimator and actual work professionals were very easy to work with. Sergenian's charges more than the average, though the process they use sucks the sanding dust outside of the home, presumably lessening the mess inside. They did not partition off the nonsanded areas from the rest of the house, which was included in other quotes. Overall, this sanding process seems pretty effective as the interior was relatively clean, though dusting was required. The job was quoted for 3 days, but took 4. The quality of the finish was good, though with time, I have found a couple of places where the sealer shows an uneven application and looks like drip marks, in the right reflective light, typically near a wall. They did a good job of not beating up the quarter round, where the wall and floor meet. The walls and wall corners were also well protected. Overall, I would say they were worth a premium, though I would have liked a better result in the final sealer application and a more accurate quote in terms of time to complete the job, versus what really took place.

We were on a tight schedule. Sergenian's sent someone out to do an estimate. We were actually able to schedule for the following week because someone else had canceled. They re-finished the floors in one week. I was impressed by the system because the person sanding was not even wearing a face mask. There was not much dust at all. They sealed the floors, and they look wonderful. We waited 3 days to put furniture in place. They did accidentally blow a fuse on our dryer, but they fixed it by the end of the job. Overall I was very pleased with their service.

Sergenian's is great to work with. Carman, the Sergenian's Interior Designer with whom we worked, is fantastic -- she's honest, helpful, and responsive in person and via email or phone. This was our second time using Sergenian's, and I'm sure it won't be our last.
The quality of the flooring they sell is fantastic, and runs the gamut of price ranges. They usually have sales and specials going (both on carpet and installation), so make sure to ask about those.
