I was in a time crunch to get this work done after going with the recommendation of my siding installer to have my walls blown with cellulose insulation instead of using foam board. Scott was willing to give me a proposal based on my description of the work instead of requiring a visual to make the proposal. His two employees came out as soon as he could schedule them and performed the work in a timely manner.

Everything went great! The contractor arrived early and got everything done inside an afternoon. He was very careful not to track dirt into the house, and very pleasant to talk to. He explained the reasons for everything he did, and helpfully showed me where in the basement the original junction box was and where the relevant cables led in case we ever have to get more work done.

Scott was great. Like most tradespeople here in Madison he is quite busy. We scheduled the estimate visit and he arrived as scheduled. He asked a lot of questions and made sure we had a good understanding of the work that was needed and the cost involved. His electricians were very conscientious and made sure that the work was done to my specifications. Aja and Caleb have excellent customer service skills and they were very easy to work with. The work was completed on time and under the original estimate. Scott followed up to make sure that I was happy with the job. I would recommend Scott Kiel electric for any home or small business job.

We really enjoyed Scott's energy when he came to look at the work that needed to be done. He was friendly and patient and took his time explaining things that needed to be done. He books out, but we were willing to wait a couple of months to get him in our home based on the high recommendations of friends and Angie's List. We added on several projects and Scott was accommodating to these additions.
There were some slight issues with service that Scott came over to inspect personally, and his response was more than adequate to resolve the issues.
We are very pleased with the work and his level of professionalism and would utilize his services again in the future.

Scott and his assistant quickly found the cause of the problem and set about to make the repairs. They finished early and were able to make a couple other small repairs that needed to be done, two sets of 3 way switches that hadn't been wired correctly.

Scott is my go-to electrician. I owned two rentals and he's done all the electrical repairs on both places. He wired my brother's house and my brother also thought he is a valuable resource to have. Scott was the electrical subcontractor used during our kitchen remodel in early 2013. We had no previous experience with him but trusted our General Contractor's judgement as Scott was his regular electrician for big jobs. We could not have been more pleased. He and his colleague were punctual, thorough and did exactly what we asked them to do. He also helped guide us through the planning of where canned lighting and outlets were to be placed to allow for convenience while following city codes. Will use him again for any future electrical work we need done.

It went good, he did exactly what I wanted and he repeated back every request to make sure it was what I asked for. He came earlier than expected and also checked in to make sure it was ok to come earlier.

Scott has a very calm, polite demeanor, he listens thoughtfully, and has a clear way of explaining things. He and his apprentice came out to give an estimate on a Monday and we were able to schedule the work for the next Monday. Since we asked him to eliminate one dimmer switch, we knew we would end up with a hole in the wall and we planned to patch it up ourselves. Although we hadn't thought to ask for it, he kindly saved the piece of drywall from the new kitchen switch and plugged the dimmer switch hole with it, which saves us the expense of using new drywall. They finished the work sooner than they expected so the final cost ($175) was $50 less than the estimate. Very satisfied with the job.

For years, we had a switch in our upstairs bathroom that we did not know what it did. We did know, though, that if we hit it (which usually was an accident) and then turned on a light in the downstairs basement, we tripped a circuit and lost power. It was a real drag. Finally, we called Scott and he came within a week and looked at the situation. Within just a couple of minutes he resolved the annoyance. We're so grateful!

I called him the day before and he was going to be in my area the next day doing another job and would stop by and check it out when he was finished with that job. He did call and then stopped by and found the problem. He replaced the outlet in the garage and it has been working fine ever since.
