Estimator was very friendly and took many photos to be sure the quotes were done accurately. Quote was very detailed and we had no questions about it or the scope of work.
Project was done exactly as promised. Employees were friendly, punctual and cleaned up after the work was done. The owner stopped by personally to check on final details and do a walk through. We had a few small concerns about the seal around several windows and they added extra insulation and trim pieces to make it look very seamless in our 140 year old home.
We were very happy, have referred this company and would use them again for future projects.

We had an excellent experience with SR Remodeling last fall when we had a small guesthouse remodeled. This included, drywall, floors, complete bathroom, and kitchen area. Scott was always available, and kept us up to date on all aspects of the project. The SR team did an excellent job and they were a pleasure to have working for us. They always cleaned up completely and were very knowledgeable and professional. We are very happy with the job they did and plan to work with them again in the future. You can count on Scott being honest and straightforward. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Each project went well. We think Scott and his team do a great job of communicating - they are responsive to review the project, answer all questions, provide a bid and work with us on changes. They are responsive and timely for when they do schedule the project. We have found that other contractors may be responsive to come look at the project but don't every follow up. Or, if they follow up, have their projects long exceed the estimated time frame for completion. This is NOT a problem with S&R. We appreciate the professionalism and attention to detail that they provide. We also find Scott and his team to be very receptive to phone calls and emails and provide timely communication. Both projects have produced beautiful results that we enjoy every day. We would use S&R again for any significant home project.

Once our turn came up on their schedule, they mobilized and got things going right away. They ran into a bad pipe under the basement floor and overcame that hurdle with minimal additional costs. Scott was always a phone call away...we must have talked dozens of times throughout the project, especially important as I was working out of town and unable to monitor the progress. Scott is a super fair businessman and his team did a great job. Clean up could have been better (there's always room for improvement) but overall, I'm a very satisfied customer.

S&R Remodeling did a fabulous job! From the original meeting to the final details, every aspect was handled quickly, easily, and with excellent professionalism. The work crew arrived on time each day and fully prepared for the many twists and turns involved in renovating an old structure.

these guys do a great job. excellent quality at a fair price. the estimate can take a little longer than expected, but once the work begins, they keep at it and work fast. their foreman - Neil and Jeremy on our jobs - are highly skilled and do not cut corners. they know when to seek input and take time to discuss options. on the rare occasions when we wanted something finished differently, they had no problem redoing it to our satisfaction. they stay true to estimate unless you've approved otherwise. we are repeat customers and consider these guys an excellent option for our construction/repair/remodeling needs.

This is the second time I have used Sand R Remodeling. Their staff and contractors they use all do high quality work. Anytime I had a question or problem I can always count on my calls/e-mails getting answered and a quick resolution.

The crew did a beautiful job, my compliments to the foreman of the crew, making adjustments at
various times- the communication was excellent. The finished product received kudos from the neighbors.
The owner offered some additional work which we declined- too pricey- can be done at a later date for less money!
Also, the insulation on the house should have been completed to meet the changes in the area left exposed due to the construction of the new deck- the footprints of the old and new deck are totally different. the contractor didnand quot;t seem to be a bit concerned- that should have been part of the original bid and I should have been contacted during construction.
I would use this contractor again, but would examine his bit a bit more closely- a lesson to be learned!
The result- More B's in the ratings than A's; I could do with less surprisesafter the project was finished!

I would recommend people not to use them. I had them do our bathroom and it dragged on and they did a horrible job. I had to get it redone and they were completely not responsive to us. They were just going to retile the shower area. They were not communicative in anyway and they were never on time. I am pretty sure the guy who showed up was severely hung over. We had them set up to come and tear out the shower area but they actually tore out the whole bathroom so we had a huge problem from the first day. They agreed to fix that problem and make it work inside of our budget. The work that they did from that point on was less than satisfactory to say the least. We had problems with discoloration and we had simple white tiles put in and a number of the tiles were gray and looked dead. They had gaps in places and so we had to have them come back 3 times to get it right and they never got it right. All they had to do was tear it all out and start it all over if their intent was to make us happy but they didn’t do that. They did a poor job with the mudding and the tiling. They did a horrible job of the grouting. They had to put baseboards and they made no attempts to make the baseboards match the previous baseboards. It was just miserable. When we asked for a refund he offered us $150 which was not satisfactory. I would have sued them but I just didn’t do that. I don’t want to deal with them at all.

"Unfortunately this job did not go well. The tile from the supplier came in different shades, but we did come back to address this. We were never hard to get ahold of, and we always responded. I think that after the job went bad the customer was not happy with us. I am unclear as to why he waited almost 2 years to post a bad review, but we made every attempt to correct the situation. Sometimes its better to start over on a bath than it is to patch and fix. I agreed with the customer that the tile didn't match, and that the grout work needed to be fixed. I will say, in our defense, that this job had the old plastic tile, and we were asked to do something that we would never now do, which was to blend in the new with the old, and it just did not look good. This particular contractor no longer works with my company. We always work with good people, who have great skills, but sometimes in remodeling things don't always go as planned. After 27 years of being in business, we have had a total of 5 bad complaints, two of which were from people that didn't get their estimates. We do hundreds of jobs a year, and close every one of them. This review does not make us happy by any means, and I will add, we made many attempts to get back to this customer to correct any issues. He stopped communicating with us. We were asked to refund the entire amount of the job, and I believe we only got paid half, and we also did not collect the final payment. Not how I would have handled It. I would have fixed this 100% to their satisfaction if this customer would have continued to stay in contact, and allowed me to do so. I regret that this job did not go well."

First contact was on about August 10. Work started in early October after several emails requesting schedule updates. Job was finished in mid-November. Not completly satisfied with turnaround time but workers were professional and did a great job. There was an ongoing problem with entrance to the house (the location of house keys was always in question). Workers left some small messiness in driveway when replacing side entrance door.
The side entrance door, solar light tube and flooring are first-rate quality, both in materials and workmanship. I am very satisfied with the results and would recommend Sand R for this sort of thing, with the caveat that you establish a firm schedule.
