We here at Rockys Detailing have been serving the Dane County area for almost 25 years. We specialize in hand washes, full auto, boat, rv, and commercial vehicle detailing. We do fleet, and commercial truck washes, Dealers, and more! We recently moved to our new location to better located for all of our Madison area customers. But for the downsides: starting small, I wish they would have put my floor mats back where they go, instead of leaving them in the trunk. No biggie, just work I shouldn't have to do. But the real disappointment with the job was the lack of, attention to detail- yes, by a detailer. I've been finding an excess of leftover polishing compound or wax on so many edges. Almost anywhere the metal takes an abrupt turn, such as above the door handle, the edge of the hatch, the hood edge, door edges, ect all have a white residue on them. It's the result one would expect if the compound was applied and polished off with a polishing wheel, and all the surfaces that tool could easily access were properly polished, but the harder parts, just around the corner, where one might have to reach by hand, were disregarded.
It's not permanent, it comes off easily with a cloth and a few moments, but continuing to find this ignored compound on all these edges goes against the term and quot;detailand quot;, which is what I purchased.
Bottom line: car came back looking shinier than it has in a while, and great for a 11 year old, always outside car. It was well washed and polished, but I can't say they paid attention to details. I purchased the service on Groupon, and must wonder if the discounted rate led to discounted service. If so, that's unfortunate, as I have more cars to detail, but I'll be trying other vendors for this service in the future.

We would've been more than happy to take care of any issues you had if it had been brought to our attention. We usually put mats in the trunk to give the floors adequate time to dry, and ask to give it 24hrs to dry. Every vehicle is different, some you have to put more into to get a good job done. For the outside, we understand as a paying customer you shouldnt have to touch up anything on your vehicle. The wax shouldve been taken off thoroughly, we usually pay extra attention to that. Sometimes (especially with black) it can pop out a little more if its missed at all. We hope that you will reconsider your choice of service in the future and will try us out again, we would be more than happy to make it up to you. We frequently drop one car off in the evening for them to work on first thing in the morning. When that car is done they call us so we can exchange cars. Usually then, both cars are done in one day. We did that this year also. It works really well for us.
This year, on the small SUV there was a small area (that is rarely seen) on the hatch door, above the license plate, that was missed. I discovered it a couple of days later. I called Rocky's and told them about it. They said I could come in at my convenience and they would make it right. So I did and they did. This is the first time in all the years we have been going there that I had to take a car back for a touch up. Great service!
Just the one thing that I rated them a B on, it took a couple of days for them to get back to me on the touch-up. Otherwise great!
