Both the owner and the plumber that came to do the work were timely in responding to my request for work and definitely made sure I was pleased with the job they did. In fact when I contacted Robin Hood Plumbing several weeks later because the kitchen faucet had developed a slow leak Lenny the owner came over on Memorial Day to fix it. After that repair didn't quite work out they replaced the faucet with an upgraded finish in record time. I recommend this company highly.

I followed Lenny's instructions and was able to stop the leaking from the main water shut off valves without having to incur the cost of a plumbing visit on an emergency basis. While I will likely need to swap out those valves at some point, Lenny allowed me to actually plan for that expense and schedule it when I can afford to do it. Plus, I found out that his hourly rate is over $20 LESS than the other plumbers. He will definitely get my business in the future!

I have lots of good stories about Robin Hood Plumbing, but I will tell this one because it shows how the company approaches a job from start to finish.
I have a finished basement, with a drywall ceiling and recessed lighting. If something is leaking from upstairs in the kitchen or bathroom, or from the outside faucet, we can't just take out a ceiling panel and look for the source; rather, we have to tear out the drywall and then restore it.
There were some spots showing up in the ceiling and on the outside wall. I called Robin Hood Plumbing, and Lenny came over to check it out. We didn't know the source of the leak, and Lenny didn't want to tear out anything until we knew. He spent time upstairs, looking at the kitchen and bathroom. He looked downstairs at the conduit of pipes running to/from the washing machine, water softener, and water heater. He went outside and checked around the outside faucet. He had some theories, but he didn't want to tear anything out, so he gave me a list of things to test and things to watch for, and he promised to check in with me in a few days. He spent well over an hour at my house, turned things on and off, climbed ladders, crawled around on his knees with a flashlight, and charged me nothing.
I eventually discovered that the leak was coming from my outside faucet. Lenny came over again, this time with an associate. With one guy outside the house and one guy inside, they moved furniture away from the wall, cut a small hole in the ceiling, discovered a crack in a pipe -- which they showed me -- and replaced the pipe and faucet. They cleaned up. Before leaving, Lenny pointed out the places where mold had been building up in the wall -- I hadn't seen it because there were bookcases against the wall -- Lenny gave me some recommendations for a contractor to restore the wall and patch the hole in the ceiling.
The next week, he asked me how it was going.
